Changing BV to accept other than just $50/$100

Hello all,

First time running into a Splus machine where it only accepts $50/$100 bills. Obviously it needs to still be flashed to accept new bills, but will that process include lower denom bills too? Or is there another process to add bill denominations?

Depends exactly which DBV you have in your machine but the denominations accepted are usually enabled/disabled with individual DIP switch setting on the side of the acceptor.

Thanks. I am new to the BV world...Can you show where the switches are and how do i get to them? Do i have to remove the head, or?

The DIP switches (and PROM) are on the bottom of the DBV-200 head.  All my machines have WBA units (switches on the side) so I can't show the DBV assembly.  That said, some google searches led back to several threads here on NLG for them.   The head and transport should be removable as a unit.  It appears there is a red lever on the left side of the head and possibly two large headed screws just above the cash can that door hold the unit in.  Those released, it should slide forward and out.  You may have to disconnect wire plug connections on each side to slide it out far enough to flip the assembly over?
