S2000 Coin In Jam - Will not clear

Hey guys, Having an issue with a machine. Typical Coin-In Jam message however not even the clear chip is clearing the message. Seeing if anyone may have experienced this same issue.


- The Machine is an S2000 WITH OUT any coin handling. Comparator cables have a jumper (we also tried replacing the jumper and still nothing)


- The machine has a good battery


- Card on the door has been checked and replaced, still nothing


- Clear Chip fails to clear the error


- Tried it with a new board, and still no.


- Check the Bill Validator, can, other components... still nothing.


- Also the buttons on the from panel will light but fail to function.

My next guess is it may be an issue with the harness but I'm not sure.




Any advice to clear this message?

Try swapping the MPU and/or motherboards out

Did you try replacing the cabinet I/O card, the one with the short connector on it.  I had coin-in jam messages, and that cleared it.

I had a machine that did similar things,  it ended up being the wrong I/O card in the door.

Had the same problem last week. I had tried two different bypass plugs neither would work. Found out the connectors coming from the main harness that you plug the bypass plug into was not making contact. So I plugged in a 3 way wire without the connector and the error was gone. Apparently one of the wires was not making contact. Good luck. Also as mentioned could be the wrong Io card.

If it's a ten button panel it's possible the harness going to the I/O and the one to the display are reversed.
