I wonder if the OS loader & bios from an actual bonus server motherboard and PCI card would boot up in a regular AVP brainbox & PCI card.

If I had the OS and the boot1 and boot2 from an actual bonus server, I'd give it a try.

All I see are Test Points, or do you mean a different card?

They are not on a regular PCI card like the one in the picture. The are on the front of a bonus server PCI card.

I agree strange things happen. I believe it would boot but ultimately door security would be an issue with a normal PCI.

Ya, that could be a problem.   Still would be interesting to see what the result is though if the boot2 bios doesn't "see" everything, like the fiber ports, serial port and that GP IO plug on the bonus server card that aren't present on a normal PCI card.

Perhaps they would just be ignored, or the switch would just default to "closed" if it did not?   (being the optimist...) 

Hard to know how it would behave without doing it.  I highly doubt that IGT engineers would even think to even try something like this.  Ha
But it's interesting they took much from the original PCI card when developing the bonus server PCI card.  Probably to save money on components, and also they wouldn't need to create an entirely new PCI card for the bonus server.  In those cases, sometimes the hardware coders might do various things when it's in dev so they can test individual component functions that are code complete when the code for all components on a board isn't complete yet, and it gets left in the final code.  Where if something isn't found, it defaults to some static value and that's what the card reports to the OS.

Need someone who has the ABSC bios chips to plug em in and see what happens, good or bad. 

As far as the bonus server PCI card itself.  The base PCB chip layout looks pretty much like a normal PCI card other than the controller chips for the fiber ports and the serial port instead of the ribbon cable.

I have the matching boot1 and boot2 bios for the bonus server box, AVPSB014-10F-05.   
The OS for the bonus server (likely the initial release) is listed as AI014-070.

The closest OS I have is AI014-075.

Wonder if that's a point release that would be comparable to be able to put the bios chips in, do a full clear, and load that OS to see if it halts with a regular PCI card.

NEWBIE here. Just picked up my first slot machine. Everything works, but I would LOVE to have this game. How do I even get the game? I did a quick eBay search and didn't see anything come up. I'm pretty sure is a G23 unit the build date was 2014. The possibilities with this unit seem to be really great.

It's a lot of work.  You need a G23 with an MLD screen for the game itself.

And you also need a G20 or G23 std screen machine just to run the bonus server software and you link them together by ethernet cable.

Unfortunately that's the only way so far to do it unless you have an ABSC Bonus server box running the bonus server software.  Which are almost impossible to find.  And if you do, they're really expensive!

Old thread of mine, but thought starting a new thread would be confusing.

Does anyone have one of the nifty but hard to find v1 Bonus Server boxes?  I'd be very interested to be able to confirm that the motherboard in it, and if it's bios chip is the same type chip as normal AVP 3.0 brainboxes?
From past research and looking closely at pics of the v1 Bonus Server boxes, the motherboard appeared to be the same as an AVP 3.0 brainbox motherboard. 

Or if anyone has pics of the PCI card from an ABSC v1 Bonus server box?  Or even the IGT part number for that Bonus server PCI card that has no ribbon cable?
