Found. Hopper for Bally EM Model 1072 4 Reel 25c Slot Machine

Hi, All:
Working on my first Slot machine.  Looking for a complete hopper mechanism.  The best I can gather from help on the forum it is a Bally 1072 25 cent 4 wheel EM machine.  It has the 24 pin plug and the rails measure about 6 1/2".  Payouts are 3, 5, 10, 14, 18, 150, and 200.  That said, I'm not going to nit pick about the payouts.  I can search for a payout disk separately, modify what it has, or even make one if it comes to that.  Just need a hopper mech that will fit

Hope all is well in  AZ.  Weather guys are saying record heat.  Hope your A/C is up to the task.

Curious if you have had a chance to look for this hopper mech I need for my cousin Frank's slot.  Sure don't want to be a nag, and if you need more time that's fine.  Just didn't want to fall through the cracks.  I know how it is to get busy and something slip my mind.

Now that you mention it, Wolftalk told me I'm also missing the "safety timer".  This will be my first slot machine, so please bear with me if I get terminology wrong, but I think that's what he said.  This machine has been fooled with, not the best situation for a first timer.  Woolftalk has also already figured out that the reels are not in the correct places.  If you find a correct parts donor, I would keep the path clear to it.  I will likely need other stuff.  I'm not going to start on it until I have all the parts I'm missing.

    I had high hopes on helping you with a hopper. So sorry as it had to be sold and I plain forgot.

    The machine is gone , I just have boxes of parts, as far as the safety timer goes, you don't really need it for home use. It was so the  timer would  shut off the hopper at a predetermined time. So a cheater could not empty the  hopper, and it would  keep working or not pay out till empty. That's where the timer came it so it would shut down the hopper before it completely emptied. So for home use a hopper would stop after the proper payout was made by the payout board and everything would be set up for the next play cycle.
Why spend 25 -45 dollars for what you don't really need. I doubt anyone would try to Jimmie or try to cheat and empty the hopper.
I am trying to inventory off & on in the cooler morning , so as to move some of the parts on. When I come up with a list, I will get one off to you.

I think it makes sense.  Wolftalk told me the timer also protects against mechanical failure, where the machine might not stop the payout motor when it is supposed to.  Frank is kind of a stickler for originality.   If you find one, shoot me a price and I'll ask him how finicky he wants to be.

What looks like it might be a useable hopper just showed up on ebay, but DANG the guy is proud of it...$300 UNTESTED.  I emailed the link to Wolftalk to see if he thinks it will work in my machine.

   Check out Craigslist & type in slot machines.  You might find a whole BALLY FOR THE HOPPER PRICE THE MAN WANTS...

Well, the chances of me finding one any where near Columbia, MO are about as near zero as I can imagine.  It would almost certainly cost me over $300 to get one packed and shipped.  Still waiting for confirmation from someone smarter that it is the correct part.  If so, I'm going to start dickering with the guy.  The thing is so heavy I'm almost surely looking at $50 to $60 just in shipping.  By the time I get it, I'm probably going to be near the worth of a working machine, but I told Frank that, and he didn't seem skeert.
