S9000 Alpha - Strange Top Screen Off-Set

I'm having issues with the top monitor.  This didn't happen until I changed the OS version.

I've tried to adjust the top monitor with the buttons on the back but nothing got even close to resolving it.

You changed MPU as well?  Did you try using another VGA cable?

Hey Rick, thanks for the response.  I did switch MPU's as my prior MPU (300mhz one) would not clear NVRAM no matter what.  It just fails every time and would not boot ever again after the first fail... so I bought a replacement 1ghz MPU from Spin and it cleared no problem.  I'm using the matching clear to the bios/os (got from RB).  However, when I switched to the newer OS, it does this split screen thing. I tried a different VGA cable and still does this weird screen off-set. 

I started with AVOS00000336-11 and the screen was messed up, so I went backward to AVOS00000336-09 and still messed up.  If I go back to 05, I believe it's OK, so why would it do this on the newer OS versions?

I ran thru several reboots during the initial setup and got this strange off-set/overlapping screen... during boot-up and during play.  At the end of the night, I powered it off like usual and went to bed.  Yesterday, when I powered it back up, it came up normal and looking like it's supposed to, so strange!

I had a monitor do this and it was the AD board. So if this happens again, you might need to replace the AD board in the monitor. Or buy another.

Thanks for the info.  Is there a good part# for that so I can look up the cost?  I have this machine up for sale but wanted to know what it would cost to replace should it go out on a customer.

You have to open the back of the monitor to see what part number and AD board you would need. The google it  or post in classify. I opted to just get another monitor as it was less than $100.
