Alpha Elite to Alpha 2 Stepper conversion question

is it possible to take an s9000 elite cabinet that is all setup for 5 reel games, and convert it to Alpha 2? Would I need just the cpu and backplane or is there more to that?

I may be getting an Elite Stepper 5 Reel soon and I have a couple Alpha 2 CPU’s lying around with a conversion backplane. May test it out.

if you are planing on running alpha 2 pro video, there's the question of the main monitor.  You will need a new main door that has the right size dimensions to hold the lcd monitor in essence to convert your cabinet to a v20/20.  You will also need an iDeck.  There are some conversion iDecks that just replace the standard button panel insert, otherwise you will have to make some modifications to your cabinet to make the iDeck fit and stay in place (not that difficult).

Thank you for all that information. I actually do have an Alpha Elite v20/v20 converted to alpha pro! What I am referring to is a stepper/reel game cabinet with an Alpha pro CPU, backplane, and iDeck inside to see if that is possible to do.

as of right now any of the 5 reel quick hit games with free spins or hot shot progressive blazing 7’s
