K2V Printer Issue

Hi!  I'm new to this, and I have tried searching this forum - maybe I looked for the wrong thing, but here is the issue I am having:

The machine is a K2V African Diamond, printer is FutureLogic Gen2

- Machine was working fine, bills inserted, game play was fine
- Out of nowhere, I get "Call Attendant.   Printer Not Ready"
- Opened the door, printer was not showing any errors.
-- Titos full, fed into printer
-- No flashing lights
-- Printer shows "Ready" (solid green with a short intermittent blink)
- Cannot change any options in the setup menu because there is a credit balance on the game

In the diagnostics, I select Printer and it shows "Device Error".  Hitting "Reset" just refreshes the screen with the same error in place.

I removed the cable, checked all pins for continuity, all OK.  Replaced the paper with a fresh ream.  Blew it through with compressed air.  Several restarts of the machine.  Checked all connections to make sure they were secure.

Any suggestions?
