2 Family 20 Games - Install Issues

Does anyone else have these 2 games and have you had any success installing them?  It seems like the paytables are not there or something.  If anyone has them running I'd be interested in these two games as there is some issue with my files.

What ascent foundation are you running? It may need a Q 21 or higher to setup using the Configure Game Denom Sets menu.

Are you trying to play these games on an AVP G23?  If so, that may be your issue

Can you clarify what Q21 means?  Is this the Ascent OS or something?  I am playing on an avp.

It’s the AI foundation file that gets installed after the OS. If you find a license dongle you can probably get it to play. Otherwise it is a no go.

I have 39 different AI files on my pc to choose from, don't know which one to use.

Can only tell you what OS and AI combination worked for me for Fam20 on an AVP G23 with a 660 brainbox (any brainbox with the PCIE video card and 4GB RAM will work though).
If you don't have the PCIE video card and 4GB of RAM, I doubt you will get it running.  Fam20 does support 8GB installed, but I found it to be unstable with random reboots with 8GB.  Running 4GB was stable, and not major performance improvements with 8GB really.

Can't just mix and match, they do have different "valid" combinations.  But the above versions are what worked for me.  If a game won't run with these versions installed, then it likely won't run on an AVP 3.0 brainbox and needs an AVP 4.0.

Unfortunately you can't connect an AVP 4.0 brainbox to a G23 as they need the ribbon cable connection to the backplane, the 4.0 brainbox uses a newer tiny PCIE cable to connect to the backplane.

Would love to try to get an AVP 3.0 PCI card with the ribbon cable to run on an actual AVP 4.0 brainbox with a PCIE>PCI adapter which do exist.  It just might, but not worth buying a 4.0 brainbox on a hunch that I might be able to get it connected to a G23 backplane.  But if I had one, I'd certainly give it a shot.
