Invalid signature error on RAM clear card after reflashing

I'm a new owner of a WMS BB2 and after a month it started failing during the booting process with DMA errors. I purchased a RAM clear card, a new OS and a new game, to find out if either the OS or the game cards were broken. The RAM clear card I purchased didn't work (I got a "PREPART DSS SIGNATURE VALIDATION FAILURE" message). I inserted it into a Windows 11 machine to check the card. It turned out to be empty. After contacting the seller, I got the RAM clear card image and was able to flash it with HDD Raw Copy on a Windows 7 machine (because it probably got corrupted on the Windows 11 machine). When putting the card back into the BB2, it recognized the RAM clear card and started to load it, but ended up with an "invalid signature" error.

The RAM clear card size is 512MB, on the sticker it says SCLR-000-1851. The image I flashed it with is version 1810 with a size of 64MB.

What could be the issue? Are there any steps I missed? Or can a 1810 image only be installed on a 64MB card?

For WMS machines you need to use the exact same size card as the image.  In fact you need to use either a WMS OEM card or a sandisk cf card.

Another question: After checking the contents of the RAM clear card (and finding out it was empty), I also checked the contents of my new game and OS cards. I did this in Windows 11, unintentionally messing them up. I found out the reason: Windows 11 changes the unique disk id, which changes the checksum/signature of the disk, resulting in an invalid signature when using it in the BB2. I know how to change the unique disk id's, but I don't know what they were before. Would it be fixed if someone sends me the correct disk id's and I modify the disk id's accordingly? It's for OS H13.34 (SSSG-000-1696) and Bier Haus (S8A3-000-1010). I hope somebody can help me out with this.

disk id's are not used in linux, setting them to 0 should fix it.  Also please asking to buy or trade images of copyrighted content is against this site's Terms of Service.  This site is monitored by manufacturers and it has received cease and desist letters from this type of posts.  So please edit your post accordingly.

Sorry about that, I only meant to restore my corrupted card, but I'll order a new one.
So setting the disk id's to 0 will fix the signature of my OS and game cards?

It should.  There's a post somewhere in the forum about aristocrat cf cards being fixed this way.  It is the same issue for the others.

Thanks a lot Rick, this fixed my game card! Unfortunately my OS card turned out to be damaged (read errors), so I'll need to replace that. Thanks for helping a BB2 newbie out!
