Touchscreen for IGS Cheers 25 Liner. Help!!

I REALLY hope someone here can help me. I've got an IGS 25 Liner game. It's new enough to support touchscreen, but the touchscreen connection on the gameboard is serial (rs232). I have a great monitor that I'd like to use with it, but the touchscreen connection on the monitor is USB. The touch portion of the monitor is an ELO e863464. I know rs232 and USB can communicate, but since this is just a game board and not a PC, there's really no place I could load in drivers. I bought a rs232 to USB cable on the off chance it might work. It didn't, and I'm not surprised.

Does anyone here have any experience with this situation? I would be SO grateful for any help you could give! If there's a small converter somewhere, or something I'm missing, please let me know. Thanks so much!
