I replaced the tail light that got broken. I realized that after the wreck I was no 10on %, and I made some mistakes not giving enough thought into putting the workshop into the new truck.

Without the tailgate, the backup camera was now mounted to the workshop. That aftermarket camera housing is so damn expensive.

Mooseburgers? Or are they more like a steak? Do restaurants serve moose?

I have had moose burgers. The taste is quite strong.
My buddy who is a hunter mixes moose with ground pork in a 60/40 mix to lower the gameyness.
He will take larger cuts and cube them into stews and stroganoff. Can’t say I am a fan.

At least in Alberta I have never seen it commercially sold.
Bison burgers are available in pre-formed patties at the grocery stores. Lots of restaurants will sell Bison Tenderloin. Cost wise it’s about 1/3 more than beef. Venison (deer) is not normally sold commercially either. I think the difference is the health regs. The Bison is farmed so there are records from birth to table while Moose and Deer are wild. The joke here in Canada is that we can track every step and every meal a cow has from import to table but yet we can’t track a single immigrant that has overstayed their visa. We are not even talking about any of the illegals. Conversely when I lived in Fribourg Switzerland - November was “The Hunt” and almost all restaurants had a wild venison dish on their menu.

When I lived near Pittsburgh- there were lots of people that I knew would go deer hunting and fill their freezer for the year. Buck season opened the Monday after thanksgiving and the schools took an extra day making TG a bigger holiday than Christmas.

I think the stores here in California do sell Bison but I've never tried it, nor have I tried venison or moose of course.
I wonder if the fast food places in Wasilla sell the "McMoose happy meal?"

Every part of a moose is used, it's the best meat to eat, all natural, not like cows filled with dangerous chemicals.
I only eat bison, moose, or bear, all excellent meat.

Our Alaska moose tastes awesome, must be that is isolated to "Canadian" moose that tastes bad.

Some restaurants here do serve different meat from: bison, Santa's reindeer, moose, etc. All of it is awesome.

I finally installed the new lights.

The temperature is dropping each day, making it more difficult to get things accomplished. I was able to finish up the heater, 110V, 12V, heater hoses, so now I have a warm workshop, and power.

I have the factory tow hooks coming in soon, they are a necessity here in Alaska, I just need one in front and one in back, it's not a "show truck" but a work truck.

I've never thought about how much goes into a work truck for a master locksmith, in Alaska, where it gets a "little chilly" in wintertime.
Have you thought of installing any kind of brush guard in front that can act as a moose/any other animal deflector in the event this happens again? Or is still going to be like hitting Volkswagen and better to swerve?

That's an idea, however the moose stands tall and may roll up on the hood, through the windshield.
