Igt 1492- d board change to 1492- e board

I was wondering if I can change a ceronix 1492-d board out and use a 1492-e board. I  don't know what the difference between them are. Thanks for any information Ryan

For the most part all 1492 models are interchangeable. Some have additional vertical and horizontal pots on the board but those are added features and give you more flexibility. The D,E or blank is not an indicator of compatibility.

The other thing you need to know is what jumper settings are on the new board, in other words what brand of machine was the board pulled from.
1492s can be used in a dozen or so slots. Some games use inverted colors some don’t. Some have a higher gain.
Just ask or look at the solder jumpers on the back of the board. The jumpers are clearly shown at the back of the manual. Or ask the seller if you aren’t sure.

I work on 1492s quite a bit and 90% of them seem to come from IGT machines. Most people who buy them are looking for IGT boards. IGT boards are jumped QSX&Y

I don’t like changing them, its more work than it seems like it should be and sometimes you have to change the gain resistor too. I spent 2 hours on the last board because you have to un-solder the original ones then you miss one and have to double triple check.

If you need help with a board let me know. It might be worth looking at yours and repairing it.

Thank you so much for that information and getting back right away I was going to do a recap but I found a board on ebay for 60 bucks guy says it works so I thought I would try it I am hoping same flyback is on the new one. Again thank you Ryan

Flybacks are compatible on all 1492 and 1490s.

The one posted on eBay right now is jumpered for IGT machines.
