I have been to Vegas a little over a dozen times since the mid 1980's. I have never stayed at Tropicana but I always went in and played for a while. Mostly due to it's history and 'feel'.
The one memory that really stands out was a trip in about 2010. My wife and I went to visit her daughter who was stationed at Nellis AFB. They dropped me off at Tropicana and went shopping. It was in the morning and there were not many people there so I just walked around trying different slot machines to try and find a loose one. lol...
I was sitting at a slot and a slot hostess came by and asked how I was doing. I told her pretty good. I thought to myself, the slot hostess is friendly here. A few minutes later she came over and rubbed my shoulders and asked where I was from etc. I thought to myself, the slot hostess here is very friendly.
About 15 minutes later she comes down the row, pulls up a chair, and sits down right beside me and again asks how I was doing. I figured she was bored because the casino was still about empty. She asked if she could press the spin button and I said sure. Pretty soon we had a game going to see who could hit the highest 'win'. It seemed kind of odd to me that she would would be playing and I hoped her boss didn't see her. This went on for 10 minutes or so.
Then she leaned in real close, put her hand on my thigh, and told me she had a room there and gives a great back rub!! Shit!

Not the slot hostess!
I was sitting there trying to figure out what to say and how to get out of this gracefully. Seconds later, my phone buzzed and the message from my wife said, 'We are just coming in the door. Where are you at?'

This gave me the motivation I needed. I told the (not the slot hostess) that I had to go and told her she could have the $15 credit on the machine. She just smiled and said, 'Thank you!'. I walked away just in time!
After the adrenalin was done with me, I thought, This actually turned out well! She got paid, and I was very satisfied I didn't have try to explain why I was sitting so close to a (not the slot hostess), and why her hand was on my thigh! Win-win.
