WBA-11-SS on IGT S+ only accepts 1 dollar bills and no larger denominations

Hello All, I am new to the forum and I have an IGT S+ Game SP6199 (Double Double Diamond 2 coin $0.25) Reel 0731. I do not have a manual for it but i read a few things on this forum that helped me get it "kinda working". I replaced the battery on the main board, needed to purchase a Clear and Set chipset which I did. I cleared the 61 code and set the bill acceptor to "9   1" and set denom to 25 cents. I then tried putting some bills into the unit and was only able to get some old $1 bills working. I tried $20, $10, $5, $100 bills with no luck. Then I got to thinking since this is such an old machine, perhaps I should use older bills in it I went to the bank and got an old 1990's $20 and $100 dated 1963. The old bills have the president's head centered on the bill. I am not having much luck with getting the machine to accept the old bills. The bill validator is a WBA-11-SS It has a sticker on top that says ID ID023 WBA V1.08-01 and another sticker that says 2529490 REV A 7/96. I also noticed another sticker that someone placed on the machine with somebody's name followed by a date 3/22/01. I would assume this DBV was updated around March 2001.
I do not have a PSR for this game prom, nor am I very familiar with the Menu system and the self-test and setting menu. If one can provide a PSR, that would be awesome. All the dipswitches are in the OFF position on the DBV. There is only a bank of 8 dipswitches that I have found. I am not looking to dump a ton of money into this, but please let me know my options and the parts/steps needed to get this machine to accept bills. On a side note, it would be nice if I could find a board that would emulate DBV and allow me to just add credits by pressing a button or something. This machine is just for home use for the wife and I to play on onsce in a while. Any help is appreciated.

Your SP chip is the 731.
The SS Reel chip is the 6199.
It's good that you've tried the older bills with the small heads.
All the newest bills above the dollar bill have encircled, large heads.
I don't know if the validator firmware WBA-11-SS is correct or not.
You'd have to wait for a better answer from those that know more about the WBA's than I do.
Personally, I've only played with S+'s that use quarters.
I have one S+ that is using a UBA-10-SS, but it uses a special circuit board to communicate with the S+'s protocol.

You can download a PSR sheet from the NLG File System but you'd have to be a Contributing Member to have access to it.

Also, go to the S+ section of the forum, I believe the first few posts are more like a "Look Here First!!" FAQ's about your machine.

Sunrise are you looking for a sticker on the prom? If so there is not one there.

Yes. If it has an EPROM, you can get an updated EPROM from NLG member RB, Ronald Ball,  msdollars2020@gmail.com

Sunrise, this is all that would be needed is an updated EEPROM to replace the one on the underside of the DBV? I assume this EEPROM will work with accepting the new bills? Will this work with new $20 and $100 bills?

V3.60 was the last ID023 update for WBA 10/11. It will take the new $10, 20, 50. WBA 12/13 will also take the new $5 with V3.75.
WBA 12/13 allows 4 way insertion. There is NO ID023 update for the new $100.

You can get a conversion board which would allow  the new $100. But it is very  pricey.  You would have to first replace your WBA with the 12/13 model and purchase a conversion board,  which I  think is around $200.
