Bally Cash Wheel Game - Cash Wheel not working after ram clear help

Hello.  I have a Bally S6000 Cash Wheel slot, everything worked great until a board battery failure.  I replaced the battery and performed a complete ram clear function.  I got the game back up and running with the exception of the cash wheel portion.  The cash wheel pointer continues to spin at power up (think it might be looking for home?) and never stops.  Also, when the game reels lands on an opportunity to spin the wheel, the "spin wheel button" does not light up or functions.  I'm guessing there is a setup parameter dedicated to the cash wheel option in the tower?  Hoping you can help, not sure what else to do.  Thanks - Wayne

on DS1 dipswitches, #5  should be off.  Is the cable connected to the front left side of the MPU? Are you using removeable clear chips to do the clear.? After you clear the machine, do you wait for the cashwheel pointer to finish the calibrating  spin and then the pointer does a dance and then it stops, before you press the service button and close the door?

Thanks for your response.  Yes to all your questions.  The pointer should calibrate, but never stops spinning (I tried letting it run for over 10 minutes).  Also, when the game lands on a "spin cash wheel", it used to play music and the dedicated "spin wheel" button lit up - that no longer happens.  I'm convinced there is a parameter setting that turns all this on, just do not know what they are.  Machine ran perfectly until the battery failure.  Thanks.

Could be the cable that connects at the front left of the MPU   has a bad wire or bad connection . Have you removed the MPU and checked the pins on the edge connectors? Is the MPU  fully seated? They are a firm fit.
