Removing Grease Smell From A Mechanical Slot Machine

My Aristocrat Regal Super 22 is letting off a rather strong odor because of the grease that the previous owner put in to keep the mechanism working.
Is there any way that I can reduce the odour that is coming out?
I thought about moving it closer to the window by putting it where my Pachislo machine is now in the hopes that the air blowing through the window will get rid of the smell.
The machine's door also won't close due to a misalignment with the reels and discs. I'm thinking that if I fix the reels enough so that the door closes, the smell will be more contained and not seep into the house as much.

Never thought of getting rid of the smell. It definitely will get better with the door closed. The wife and I both love the smell when one of our EMs are opened up. You could always try putting a container of baking soda in the machine to absorb some of the smell.
