Suzohapp LED Topper hack fix. At least make it do something.

I received a Suzohapp topper without the controller board. I believe its one of the last generations. I would love to find a working control board, but I wanted it to do something. I took a shot at this. Works perfect. It does not do the follow feature with the LEDs as it can only be the same color all the way around. The follow feature is nice, but this is cheap. I still have to work on the bend entering the housing, but it's pretty good.

Hey, i know this is a really old post, but i am hitting a wall with my topper. Were you able to get a controller for your topper to get it to work? I purchased a topper not knowing it was a suzohapp and i'm stuck with it doing a single generic animation instead of reacting to my games, and can't find any info anywhere about the controller

Some games the topper will react to the game. If all machines are linked together in the casino, they will work together being the same pattern. Inside the topper should be a button to change the patterns, mode and color.

What I think it is the ones without the base are glitter base toppers. They need the glitter base to work OR the secondary controller.

My polygon topper arrived from ebay with no controller in it so I removed the LED PCBs and glued in my own using clear silicone adhesive.  Here are the LED's I used:

I glued in a couple at a time just so they would stand up correctly.  Once they were all dry,  gooped on extra silicone to encase them.  The LED's are addressable so I have the controller set to have a rainbow effect.
I left the center leds (to backlight the center insert) in place but they required 24vdc just like the post above says.

That's a hell of an amount of work, but very nice that they are addressable to do whatever you want with them.

Which controller did you use to address these ? I see one with a SD card ?
If thats the one you purchased how do you program the sd card ?

This is the controller I used.  It works with WS2811 and WS2812 LEDs.  You can feed +5vdc or +12vdc into it depending on the voltage of the LEDs.

I could not see too much in the details.
Does this have addressable functions like chase or a single LED running around the outside ?

These controller have dozens of patterns programmed into them.  The remote lets you configure various things like how many leds are in a "pattern" before it repeats.  The speed is also adjustable. Moving colorful rainbow is just 1 setting.  It could do 1 led around and around.  Or all on one color with 1 led rotating or fading, etc.  Once you set a pattern you don't need the remote.
