Hey guys,

Have a weird one here - (see pic). Seems to be perhaps something with the USB devices. It always fixes itself within seconds, but it always causes that stupid loud beep beep beep that WMS is famous for.

1) Any ideas what could be the cause? Already tried reseating all USB connections
2) Any way to completely disable the tilt beep (without disable sound on the machine)

Any help would be appreciated!

Marc

Are the door open and closed messages on your screen shot you actually opening the door? Alarm is usually sounding off of the door is opened. Never hear it when a communication error.
Does your can have a usb hub or does it connect to the cpu? If a hub can you plug it directly into CPU?

Try reseatting the cpu. Make sure it’s on all the way. I know this sounds stupid but I have had communication issues with nxt 1 when cpu isn’t seated all the way.

I don’t have the answer exactly what’s wrong but just throwing out some trouble shooting tips.

Thanks Charles,

Yeah.. the beeping occurs at random when the machine is idle. I just happened to capture a pic of the system event viewer right when it did it and lined it up with those comm errors. It seems to happen every 3-4 hours, very strange.

I'll try reseating the cpu and see if I can just bypass the usb hub.

It is a USB hub issue.  Either your USB uplink cable is flaky, or your usb hub has issues.
