Maybe this one? I don't know...  :scratch-head_2:
Is .ch at the end of ebay in Switzerland? Like ebay.ch ?

https://www.ebay.ch/itm/336407612146?
I thought it might not be the right one, because I checked the base/sockel and wasn’t sure. I didn’t recognize it at first because of the base. I only noticed afterwards that it can actually be pulled out of the stand. Sorry about the confusion, and thanks for your help! Yes, .ch are Swiss websites.

Here's one (This is the other Mark) from Mouser. I'd avoid Amazon's as their prices are insanely high now. (Like $9 PER bulb!)

https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/VCC/86-?qs=mXnm59Gy0WKLPWfY8iQNhA%3D%3D
Perfect, that’s exactly the information I was looking for. Thanks a lot for the link and the tip about Amazon — that’s really helpful!

OMG no! That one ends up being $12.79 (USD) PER bulb!  :hissyfit: Same as the one I saw on Amazon.

I may buy the ten pack from the other eBay source that I listed, in case this is going to be "how it is" now.  :banghead:

I actually buy them directly from JKL ( http://www.jkllamps.com )...but for what I do here at work, I get them in boxes of 100 pcs.

Back before the tariff days, they weren't very expensive at all.
Straight on the slow boat from China....can't do that nowadays

Perhaps TEMU or AliExpress to Switzerland would work better than the US.
I don’t believe they have import tariffs like the US does.

I also noticed that for higher amounts it always goes to hand pay. Can I configure it so that it pays out directly via the hopper up to a maximum of 1,000 USD? If so, how do I set that up?

On the MPU, turning ON the dip switches 1 and 2 will allow you to program how many coins the coin hopper can pay out before going into handpay mode.
Actually, for a home machine, I always turn ON dips 1 to 4, and leave 5 to 8 OFF.
You'll see small tiny arrow printed onto the top of the dip switch panel telling you which way is ON.

Then you have to put the MPU back in, power ON the machine, and press the lil white test button about 12 times to get into the coin limit menu.
You'll be setting how many credits you want the hopper to pay...not dollars. You do the math.
Anyways, you should see a "7" in the [Coins Played] window. A "1000" in the [Winner Paid] window.
If it's set like that, and you are using quarters, that's equal to $250.
That would mean you'd have to make the "1" a "4" right?
The last zero on the "1000" should be flashing...that's where the cursor is.
To move the cursor, turn the jackpot reset key 3 times to move the cursor to the "1".
You now need to press the PLAY button about 4 times to advance to the number "4".
Now, turn the jackpot reset key about 7 times to get the display blank or simply close the door.
Your coin hopper is now set to pay out up to 4000 coins before going into handpay.

If you do that, you'll probably burn out the hopper motor.
This is why we don't set the coin hopper to pay out that many coins.
Good luck! :)

The S+ doesn't work on $$ it works on Coins.
So $1000 in quarters would be 4000 coins conversely $1000 in $1 tokens would be 1000 coins.
The hopper capacity varies from 600-800 coins depending on the size of the coin or token - think penny vs dollar so if your outputting 1000 of anyting your going to exceed the capacity of the hopper.
(dimes being the smalest were rarely used as their thin-ness caused jams)

In the US there is a reporting limit of $1200 so its common to see the top award capped at 1199 (printed on the glass) and hand pays were typically anything over 400 coins as they didn't want the hassle of the machine running out of coins for a hopper fill.

To change the number of coins the machine pays out you simply change the hopper limit. How you do this varies based on the game chip.
On the old chips the you had the choice of 300 or 400 and that was controlled by a dip switch on the MPU - typically you will see a sticker on the MPU tray and can see various settings like reel speed, sounds, and hopper.
On the newer chips this is all handled in software.

So the first question is what game chip do you have..... this allows us to send you a PSR (Program Summary Report) which is the document for all of the settings for your game chip.
There is also a PAR sheet which has all of the details pertaining to the reel chip. While the latter is interesting as you get %%'s hit frequency etc -  there are no settings to be changed with the reel chip.

You can get the Game and Reel chip number(s) by pulling the MPU and there is usually a sticker on the chip itself.
Alternatively - On the NLG home page - bottom right is RICKS Faqs and there is a procedure to get the Game and Reel numbers displayed in the Credits / Winner Paid  windows.

Once you post back then we can give you the PSR which will then allow you to change your hopper limit. If its too old a game chip you will need to change the chip to one that is not controlled by the dip switches.

I had a typo earlier — of course I meant quarters, not USD.
At the moment I have a little over 1000 quarters in the hopper, and I would at least like the machine to pay out 500 coins instead of going to hand pay. Ideally, it would be great if it could pay out 1000 coins, if that is possible.

I’ll take a closer look at the links this week and get back to you with the version information. Unfortunately, there are no stickers on the EPROMs, so I’ll have to read the information from the menu instead.

Would an image/dump of the EPROMs also help?

Hi Chris,

thanks for the offer! In the meantime I was able to get replacement #86 bulbs, so I’m all set for now.

I appreciate you reaching out though.

Hmm... :Scratch-Head:

Turn ON the power, press the lil' white test button about 9 times while watching the [Coins Played] window, until you get the number "4" in that window.
The numbers flashing alternatively in the [Credits] window, are your two chip numbers.
