Ok so my customer has a game that the other guy that sold him the game wouldn’t repair as they just stopped responding. So I’m trying to get it up and going

I installed new batteries
I installed the diagnostic and the e7 keys and reset the top 2 and not the wipe of the hard drive.
I followed the docs I could find and went and setup up everything
I installed the 47 games with the intermediate payout that it shows
I also tried the others

Exit out and turn off game
Pull out keys and put paper back and lock small door
Replace the front door and turn back on
I get these screens
What am I missing

I have done this several times on this machine thinking I’m missing something with the same results

Flip that small switch by the protected USB ports the other way and try it.

I'd ensure the PCI card is fully seated in the brainbox and also check that the ribbon cable is plugged into the PCI card securely with both tabs locked.

If the cable and card are well seated and errors continue.  Seems like it's something in software and not hardware.

Just my 2 cents...   As long as you have an OS Loader and the Game Loader files.  I'd do a full wipe of everything, including the drive.  Load just the OS and complete initial setup, then load the games back in and enable them.

Keeping the existing OS and games can save time, but when odd things come up like this, I do a full wipe of the entire machine & SSD and reload the OS and the games so I know it's clean.

And if you REALLY want to keep the original SSD drive with the OS/Games on it, just replace the SSD with a blank SSD from 128GB-512GB in size, boot with diag and wipe nvram, safe storage, and SSD.  Then load the OS, boot normally, complete initial setup, then finish up by loading/enabling games.   But I'd only load like one game.  No sense loading a bunch of games until you can verify it's working fine again with one game.  Then it doesn't take long to do at all.   

47 games is going to consume a lot of NVRAM depending on the exact titles.  If too many games loaded at once, just over time, the machine will consume more and more nvram, and will crash when it runs out. 

Not a big deal as long as you have an ekey/diag, as to restore from a crash like that it just requires an nvram/safe storage clear and doing setup again, games would remain on the drive, but if nvram usage is high, it will just crash again eventually in the same manner if too much nvram is being consumed and it runs out.  If it's under like 70% nvram utilization, not likely to crash.  But over that, how much nvram is being used determines how long it will run before it crashes, could be fine for a year at 80%.  If 90%+ nvram is being used, might be only a few weeks until it crashes.   Until you can see how much nvram is being used on the ekey menu enable/disable games with all those games loaded in, I would only load one game.  High nvram usage could be why it crashed in the first place.

If it works ok, then just load additional games/enable them, just watch nvram utilization.  It goes up with each game installed.  There's no info on exactly how long a machine will run when XX% of nvram is being used.  But if being safe is important, 60% or less nvram utilization is usually a good number so it's unlikely to ever crash from running out of nvram.  Disabling a game doesn't lower the nvram usage, it has to be uninstalled to reduce nvram usage.  Most remove games they don't like or never play to keep the nvram usage lower.

What games are on the drive of this machine?  Is it a GameKing set?  So when you cleared it and rebooted, after basic initial setup of the machine, for games, did it have a "quick setup" where you selected an odds package to enable a preselected set of games at once, and is mainly card games?  If so, that's what you have.

When you cleared it you said you "loaded games", which implied you had a USB Flash drive with the game loaders on it.  Otherwise you just enabled games which were already loaded on the SSD drive.
Only the GameKing sets have that many games in one package and have that "auto setup" of a group of games with certain odds.

Do you have show bios chips?  Or do you have a USB license dongle plugged into a USB port inside the machine for the GameKing game set?

For a GameKing load on AVP 3.0, it's the only one I know of that has the EZSETUP, kind of a 1 for all, and some 120 or so card games, roulette, and a few slot games but they aren't that great.  This load is mainly for the card games.

It's one package to load, but it isn't just one game, it's a package of games, a theme, and it loads several feature packages for it.

The actual GameKing 8.3R game ID is Game014-001GKA-D02 (the R indicates it has Roulette)   There is also a GameKing 8.3 that doesn't have Roulette.  Where the game ID is Game014-001NW3-D11

To entirely wipe the machine and load the OS and the GameKing 8.3 or 8.3R so all works properly, it's slightly different than loading individual games after clearing the machine and loading the OS.  You need to have the OS loader file, and the game loader file on two seperate USB flash drives.  Both must be FAT32 formatted as with any game or OS loader flash drive for family 14.

The OS loader file recommended is OS version AI014BOE, the filename can vary but will have 14B0E in the name.  The OS loader file is on one of the flash drives all by itself.  The Gameking loader file is named something like igt_full_install-PI014001GKAD02-Game-King-8-3R (or similar), it can also be named with just the game ID such as PI014001GKAD02.  That goes on the other flash drive all by itself.  They have to be on separate flash drives and the flash drives must be FAT32 formatted.

But you have to have the OS loader by itself on one flash drive, and the game loader by itself on another flash drive.  If you're loading individual games instead this Gameking load, the steps are a little different.  If you do it with these same steps and it isn't a Gameking load, you'll end up with the machine saying the drive failed authentication and you have to clear it and do it again.

Anyone with an AVP who has a diag & ekey, should always have that OS Loader flash drive and always keep it with your diag and ekey.  As well as any game loader flash drives.  Without them, you can't do a complete wipe and reload.

But to load a Gameking load, once you have the two USB flash drives with the OS and Gameking loader, you follow these steps to clear and reload it.  I've done it many times without any problems, and the EZSETUP etc. works just fine, and the proper associated packages are all installed properly.


Steps for loading for a GameKing game set.

Boot with ekey and diag key.  Wipe NVRAM, Safe Storage, and the SSD drive.

Turn off the machine, plug in the flash drive with just the OS loader 14B0E on it, and your ekey7 and power on.
The OS will install and report when it's done and says to reboot.

Turn off and remove the OS loader and ekey, and power on.  It will boot normally, and follow the prompts, plug in your ekey, etc as you complete initial config of the machine until reaching “no games configured".   

Then shut down.  Now plug in USB flash drive with only the GameKing 8.3R loader, as well as your ekey, and power on.  That will load the GameKing set and it's feature packages.   Once it reports the load is complete.  Power off, remove the loader and ekey.

Finally, power on again with no keys in.  No games configured will come up.  Plug in your ekey.  And in the ekey menu, you can setup individual games from the set.  Or select an "EZSETUP" option specific to a GameKing package loaded that will configure about 41 games for you as you did previously.  But this is clearing everything, I suspect there's something corrupt on your SSD drive, so this will do a totally clean load of the OS and the Game.

You can also just enable games/denominations as you choose as well, it just takes longer so the EZSETUP is quick.  After it configures, you can always edit what was set and enabled in the games if you choose.  Then you can close it up so all doors indicate they're closed, and then it should run normally. 

If not, screenshot the exact errors you receive.  It may not be enough to tell what the issue truly is.  But without exact error messages it's even more difficult for others to even suggest what might be the cause if you don't know.
