Radysys PIC-3 4900 arcade/slot motherboard ???

Hi!
I receive Radysys PIC-3 4900 arcade/slot machine motherboard based on 486 CPU in "industrial" format and with two additional compactflash 64MB cards

Is it really Cleopatra 3 machine motherboard?
Anyway i will try to recover this board )))

Download chipset Radysys R400EX techspecs and will try to reanimate it with conversion to "usual" PC
Sadly all connectors are in propiertal format (except one MOLEX connector). As i understand MS/KBD (10 pin connector is PS/2 mouse/keyboard) can be invistigated by 5V and GND lines. VGA (10 pin connector) can be invistigated by CIRRUS LOGIC standard diagram (all RGB signals already visible and should find other VGA sync and GND signals).
Maybe someone already got the schematics or additional info for connectors or jumpers of such card? And utilities for later reformat of onboard 16MB flash disk and CF cards?

It's only part of an IGT S2000 Vision slot machine.
That circuit board came out of a Vision LCD display unit that normally reside up in the topbox of the cabinet.
Do NOT put those PCMCIA flash cards into a computer to read them or they will be corrupted.
There's only a certain way to read them without Windows writing onto them.
The vertical card is for the operating system for the Radysys circuit board...the other card is the BGM00148 PCMCIA card and that contains the Bonus Game Module programming for the Cleopatra game projecting onto the LCD display.

You also need an S2000 Vision-ready slot machine cabinet running with preferrably, a 504 MPU board.
You will need the Cleopatra software chips installed on the 504 MPU board...that software communicates/interacts with the two PCMCIA cards you have on the Radysys board.
Finally, you're missing the LCD enclosure for the Radysys board....the LCD enclosure actually has the 10" display panel the Radysys board is connected to.
As well, missing are the RAM sticks to run that game.

I will not try to recover slot machine functionality but try to convert this board to USUAL single board computer for DOS and/or Windows. I understand that the LCD screen is missing and will try to get video output thru the VGA connector on this board or to connect the notebook LCD matrix to LCD connectors on this board and get input thru MS/KBD connector. Dont know is it possible but i will try )))

I have one connected to a plain 18" widescreen desktop LCD monitor utilizing the VGA output.
It's relativity simple.
I had to make my own connector that plugs into the old 1997 Radysys VGA [H5] header, using two mini-fit plugs.
Those are pinned directly to a VGA cable out to the LCD monitor.

The Radysys circuit is easily powered up using a desktop computer power supply.

I've attached a photo of the VGA connector cable I made, for you to see.

Just about any standard power supply for a desktop computer, has the 4-pin [J5] power connector.
You don't need schematics for that.

Did you know the computer will not turn on without the 72-pin RAM memory sticks?
I mentioned this in Reply #1.

Here's where I got one of them from Memory Masters.
You need two pieces for games that have more graphics on these circuit boards.
It will however, run basic stuff with just one stick...>>>

OK! J4 MOLEX connector + AT computer power supply = SUCCESS (i hope at last)
I have a bunch of 72 pins SIMMs as low as 4MB and up to 32MB per stick FPM and EDO
So... all i need is H5 RadiSys VGA connector pinout or measure it for RGB, Sync and ground signals)))

Here's the VGA pinouts...>>>
The [H5] Radisys VGA header has 10 pins.
Pins 6 and 10 are not used...my drawing isn't the best.
I messed up the numbers but follow the pin locations on the drawing in my notes below.
1=Vertical
2=Horizontal
3=Blue
4=Green
5=Red
6,7,8= (-)

Here's a short video I just made for you of the LCD monitor display turning on by the LCD Radisys computer.
You can see the light gray VGA cable on the floor of the topbox that I showed you in Reply #3.

The middle three pins on the VGA plug all also contact the metal trapezoid shroud that surrounds the 15-pin D-sub port plug.

Last questions for today... What is AUX connector and for what it is suitable (maybe you have a pinout). And are there any tricks for BIOS output on screen (maybe some jumper(s) settings)

AUX was just an option that was never used.

To get the BIOS to display on the LCD, you need to move a JP3 jumper to JP1 - behind the two long SIMM stick sockets.
I made a video of this years ago.
I was a little excited when I made it, I think 
I don't know why I tried to put the jumper in there with some pliers....all I needed to do was pop out the sticks lol...>>>

Hi!

I successfully attach my VGA monitor using your pinout and get the image on screen!

But i have a new question about keyboard (and mouse) connection.
I measure the KBD/MS connector. Sadly PS/2 keyboard do not start.
Maybe there any tricks or jumpers settings to enable the keyboard?

I attach the connector scheme. And some strange thing there is +5V on pins in connector when keyboard not attached and no +5V when i attach keyboard. It looks like main chipset detects the attachment and disable +5V signals?

I couldn't find any of my notes on the keyboard harness pinouts.
I haven't hooked up a keyboard to a Vision LCD computer in a long, long time...maybe 15 years?

The serial keyboard needs to have the mini DIN plug.

I cut the DIN plug off of a keyboard.
Plugged it into a desktop computer running Windows XP.
Stripping the keyboard plug gave me 4 wires...>>>

1.Red for Data.
3.Brown for 5v.
4.Gray for ground.
5.Yellow for clock.

Pins 2 and 6 not used.

I changed the colors on your drawing with colored dots, to show where they go to.
If your keyboard wires aren't the same colors as mine, just use the keyboard plug drawing I attached as well.
I put the wire colors in there.
You may have to see which wire matches your DIN plug.
Disregard the six right-most pins on the computer header - those are for the mouse.
