BB2E stuck reading IP address for eth1

Hello, So I went to load up a new game to my BB2. Went ok but I messed up the bill validator. Changed the settings and the system said it needed a power reset. Turned off and now getting stuck under the load up:

Starting network services for eth1...
eth1 started up
reading Ip address for eth1......and dots go forever with no end.

Clear card runs fine. Tried reset switch on lights box(box on very bottom). Tried to load up old game and still getting same issue.

Is there a hard reset I'm missing or where is the cable for eth1? Shouldn't have unplugged anything but maybe accidently.

Not sure where to go with this problem. Getting pretty frustrated since I don't know these machines. Asking for help.

It will eventually time out and go on, some OS versions take forever to timeout during DHCP.  What OS are you using with what game?  You could also just hook up a router that servees up ip addresses to pass that quickly.

Not sure what OS since game is loaded now. Wasn't sure it was going to time out or not. Was sitting like 30 min and nothing was moving so kept turning it off and on several times. Ended up swapping batteries and started getting nvram errors. Went ahead and replaced the batteries. Was still getting error so loaded up clear card. Was able to reset and load the game I wanted with no issues.

Good to know if can take forever and just wait for it to time out. This is my second machine so still very limited experience.

Lesson learned: Be patient.
