Sigma sg 150 b plus led display boards

My machine I can play but the display boards show digits acrossed bothe led screens . It displays. 5.5. 5.5. 5.5. 5.5 and it does not change at all no points  nothing I am suspecting the if chip because I ordered maxim  icchips but from what I read on them I fear I got fake ic chips . Has anyone heard of this problem with there machine . Everything works as it should .

I think you explored this issue deeper than anyone here on NLG. I know its hard to believe someone has the time to make counterfeit ICs, I think there is only one way to find out.

Most of us who get into component specific repair have encountered this at least once.
Try ordering the part from Digikey or Mouser. I think its the only option at this point.
