Veridian Gen 7 to 8 Conversion?

I want to upgrade my Mk7 WS that has a Greenboard with a 430 Video card, OLED buttons to a Gen 8.

If I get a Gen 8 board/CPU, what else needs to be updated to make it work properly. I see a lot of mixed results on ebay.... (no bios, no video card, etc.)
What video card should max out the Gen8 so I dont have to worry about some games running sluggish?

I like the newer games, so the games that need the older hardware or mechanical buttons I dont care about running.

Any tips or what should I get?

The Gen8 CPU will not slide into a Gen7 cage.  However, I was able to do the conversion removing the board from that carrier and sliding it in to fit the Gen7 backplane, carefully  The logic door switches will not work so I just changed the switches to a single pull out switch.  That satisfied the logic door closure requirement.  You only need a CPU with the 630 video card in it.  Other requirements include changing out the touch screen controller to USB along with the cable to connect it to the backplane.  Also you will need to change out he sound amp to one from a Helix and wire it back into the system.  Depending upon what game you intend to play you may run into issues with the AD board being not recognized because the game is looking for a different monitor.  I didn't change out the OLED deck in mine since all the games expect a minimum of an OLED deck.  If you have a standard deck, you will need an OLED deck.  It an easy swap.

Bottom line, I converted my WS Veridian and it was well worth it.
