[WTB] Bally medalist or other 5 Reeler EM in PA, NY, CT, RI, NJ, DE, or MD

Hi guys, I want to buy a Bally Medalist that's within driving distance (4 hours) of my home in Allentown, PA. I would also consider any other Bally 5/6 reeler EMs (monte carlo, big moose,  lucky twins, texas twins, etc. I would also consider a 4 reel machine with a jackpot of 500$ or more.

I'm not interested in JPO machines. I dont want shipping. I'm not interested in digital/computerized machines of any kind. I want a machine that is fully functional, I am not worried if it has any visual flaws like pitted chrome etc. I understand there are rare machines and am willing to pay appropriately. I would have to meet up and inspect it before buying.

You missed Ohio on your list.
Ohio is the meca of slot sales in the east.
I used to live in Cranberry PA (north of Pittsburgh).

I would recommend you contact some of the vendors on our home page. These have all be vetted as being the good ones.
There are at least 3 of them there that are in the Ohio area. Most of their web sites are limited (or at least dated) so I suggest you call them and they will likely be able to give you leads if they don't have what your looking for.

My cousin had a Medalist. I know it was not working. It all fired up and would play, just not correctly pay. It's close to Baltimore. If you're interested in a project I'll see if she still has it.

Thanks for taking the time to reply! If a machine isn't working properly, I wouldn't be able to pay very much for it, maybe $150 and then pay someone to fix it. I don't have the time to fix as I work 60+ hours a week. Generally, simple cleaning of payout board contacts works for simple EMs, but I have never worked on a fancier one and am not confident in my ability to repair quickly/easily. If you or she get it running right I'd be interested in a retail price deal.

could you describe what is particularly wrong with it? Like does it short pay, not pay, overpay etc and on which wins?

I understand completely. I don't see too many Medalist mentions lately. It is a very cool game type. I'll see if they still have it, if they do, it may be a give away at this point.
