BB2 Printer Paper Light Stays on Solid

I just got a WMS BB2 machine in and the printer paper light stays on solid...I installed a known good printer in it and same issue...Im pretty sure that there is a single orange wire that goes from the printer to the power supply that is causing the problem...There is no voltage on that circuit coming from the power supply...The power supply is working fine except for the 5 volt signal to the orange wire
Does anyone know of a fix to restore that 5 volt signal on the ps itself...I hate to have to replace the ps for that one flaw

I was getting the printer com error when I had the printer enabled...I installed a new printer and haven't cleared and reloaded the game enabling the printer yet...
I had another machine doing the same thing and found the 4 pin molex connector at the power supply was loose...
As soon as I plugged that in the paper light went out and the printer worked perfectly...
Do you have a bb2 that you can confirm that there should be a voltage on that single orange wire coming from the 4 pin molex on the power supply to the printer? Mine shows no voltage at that pin

I'm nowhere near a slot machine right now.
However, I know I did a topic on it and posted the readings I got from that wire.
The way to find it is to go to the WMS Williams Video section of NLG, go up to the search box and type in "printer COM" and a bunch of topics will come up.

That orange wire between the PSU (Power Supply Unit) and the interface chip on the printer harness, is more of telltale wire...searching for a certain voltage.
If it doesn't find the voltage from the PSU, it tells the MPU to shoot out the "printer COM error" code.
Only way to fix it, is to replace the PSU, or the capacitors inside that relate to that orange wire.
I'm NOT the guy that knows exactly which IC components to replace.

Compare the backplane jumpers too, from the known good cabinet and this one.
The jumpers have to be set correctly.

Well, I tried a new printer, checked all harnesses, bought a new power supply and still getting printer com error and solid amber paper light on the printer...I don't have another bb2 to check the backplane jumpers and now I have a bv error coming up also...
Backplane? CPU? Printer Interface Board?
Anyone???

Problem solved...I bought a new power supply from Spininc and it worked fine except that 5v signal that goes to the single orange wire that goes to the printer...
I pulled a ps from my bb3 and stuck it in there...no more paper light, printer works perfect...

These power supplies are like light bulbs.... they don't last forever.
Same thing with the Organic Light Emitting Displays (OLED) on the button decks.
