MPU BOARD AS-3356-201

Can anyone tell me how to download the schematic for my MPU BOARD AS-3356-201?  As soon as I plug the board into it's position, it blows the circuit breaker in my workshop 😪 It's a Bally's Blazing 7's

You're not supposed to plug it in with the power ON.
Turn OFF the power switch before removing or plugging in anything.

Check under the bottom of the board for a folded over bent pin.

This is my "first" time using your site ... I am still trying to figure out "HOW" to use it and make "POSTS" and get some answers!
Takes time to surf and surf and surf some more ... and being 88 years old, I don't have much time!
I'm still looking for "DOWNLOADS" to download the schematic for my MPU BOARD AS-3356-201 ..

A lot of us refer to it as the download section but is in fact labeled “NLG file system “
However you will need to be a contributing member to access it.

OK .. I "DO" turn off POWER when plugging and unplugging the board.
I am going to try to "UPLOAD" pictures of the AS-3356-201 board that have "chips" installed.
Can anyone confirm that this motherboard is used for a Blazing 7's Bally chassis MODEL# S63U3CT20? (picture attached)
My problem is:
1. "Without" the board plugged in - I turn on the machine - lights come on - bill detector "whirrrres",
2. Turn off the machine - plug "in" the board - turn on the machine and immediately blows the 15amp main circuit breaker.
Any help will be appreciated ... trying to fix this for the kid's grandmother who will be 101 years old in March and is "addictive" and can't get to the casino's like she used to and "LOVES" Blazing 7's!

Phurman,
I assume you've checked the male pins on the back of the MPU, and they're all perfectly straight?
You didn't say if they were or not.
Something on that MPU circuit board is shorting out your fuses.

Now might be a good time to post a clear, high-resolution photo of the top component side of the MPU board so the Bally experts can take a good visual look at it and see if they spot anything unusual on it?

I thought I "loaded" 3 photos' .. seems we are limited to just so much memory use.
All pins are straight.
Will load photo of board (had to reduce size of photo because of "RESTRICTIONS") .. the battery is at 3.6 volts (not that it has anything to do with shorting out).
Back side of the board is "clean" .. don't see anything unusual.

Inside these two headers on your MPU, are a million male pins...they are all straight?
None of the pins are folded over touching up against another one?

Also, use your nose.
Smell around...burnt electronics stinks.  :burningresistor:

I mentioned in my last reply ... "the pins "ARE" straight ... attached photo.
This board was sold by Newlife games .. and all it does is blow the "main" circuit breaker.

OK .. doesn't seem like I am able to get to many answers ..
"SO" .. does anyone know, by looking at the installed "CHIPS" that this board actually is used for a Bally Chassis Model #S63U3GT20 (Blazing 7's)? (pictures previously posted).
Should I "REMOVE" all the chips and try installing just the board ? And see if the board still blows the circuit breaker? (probably will!)
This may be the wrong time to try and get any answers because of the holidays. But if anyone is bored and know something about this problem and may have an answer (or 2), it would be greatly appreciated.

The board was not sold by Newlifegames - that's not the markings they put on a board. Did the previous owner tell you this?

For the next step, I'd check where the MPU plugs in and see if there's anything, (strand of wire, solder, etc) that may be causing a connection where there shouldn't be one!

I will "retrack" my statement about being sold by Newlifegames (because I don't know who sold it).
I mentioned to the person (Adam) who had bought the board (and sold the machine to me "with" the board) about going to Bullhead City .. he said that is where he got the board - but could not find his receipt (bummer).
I kind of made an assumption - because I had called down to Newlife for some info and was talking to someone by the name of "SCOTT" (kind of correlates to the board), so I "assumed.
Sorry about that!
I have torn this machine down - and examined it with a magnifying glass .. there are NO shorts, burnt marks, broken printed circuits (would not cause a short unless lapped over onto another printed circuit) .... but it only pops the circuit breaker when the board is plugged into the sockets.....thats it!
I tried (so far) all over the internet to get a schematic for that board (AS-3356-201) probably looking in the wrong place ... it seems that the schematic (AS-3356-201) and probably a lot of other schematics are being held HOSTAGE by NewLifeGames.
You "HAVE" to "SUSCRIBE" and pay a "FEE" in order to download a schematic ... which Newlifegames got for "FREE".
I thought this was a "FREE" voluntary web site to help interested slot machine "TICKERERS" get help from some "smart" slot machine "TINKERS"
JUST VENTING ....and glad I did! ("they" will probably ban me from this site - and thats OK)

When you insert the board,  the edges of the metal tray  that the board is mounted on,  the edges of the tray  must go  into the plastic guide strips located on the left and right side  of the board housing under the reels.  It's a tight fitting guide.  After you get it into the guides and inserted,  when it  mates with the backplane,  it  has to pushed into place where it will pop/snap into place because it has some friction with the connectors.

U18 and U20 are the personality chips that are specific to your theme.  Not sure if they are the  correct chips for your theme  glass and strips. ?

UPDATE - I took everything out of the chassis. Cleaned up the back panel (AS-3356-207 see pic-was dirty with something). I have a digital microscope plugged into my computer, really did an exam on it and the mother board. Other than that-all things look normal, no smells, burn spots, wiring harnesses look good, no raw, peeled wires - looks good.
Installed the power supply and plugged it into J12 (Power) supply on the back panel. No other power plugs were connected. Plugged mother board in (being careful to put tray into the plastic runners).
Turned on main power .. circuit breaker held.
Turned off power and connected the additional power supply plugs.
Turned on main power .. circuit breaker held.
Turned off main power and connected J14 Door I/O
Turned on main power .. circuit breaker held.
Turned off main power and connected J4 Message Center.
Turned on main power .. circuit breaker held.
But when I plugged the Cabinet I/O in .... it popped the circuit breaker.
I checked the FEMALE plug that plugs into the Cabinet I/O plug J7, for continuity to ground and there are NO shorts.
I have just about "ALL" plugs in this cabinet disconnected ......... just when plugging the Cabinet I/O in .... it pops the circuit breaker. SURE IS CONFUSING!
