Validation system failure

Im new here but I've got an older IGT kitty Glitter machine that has Casino Trac players club system installed and no matter what I try I cant get the machine to communicate.  Ive replaced the power distribution box, I've cleared the SMIB and swapped out known good system parts to this machine and still.....no com.  It was working at one time but only sporadically and it would not work properly.  It would send hand pay to the cage and then spit a ticket out at the cage the next time the main door on the machine was opened, then it  just quit doing anything.  HELP
