bally 6000 corrupted mains?

picked up a bally 6000. the guy gave me a song and dance about not wanting to replace the battery and clear it, but i was suspect. anyway, its a blazing 7 time pay game.   has a hopper, but there is a slot where a ticket printer used to be, and the panel button says print ticket.  anyway, the battery was fine. the old dude had all the dips on DS1 set to on. moved all back to off.  i put in a set of leave in mains, set dip8 to on, did the clear and machine works well except the bill acceptor doesnt go green. goes green for a second, then red. does do the initial start up sounds, Zip, zip, zip.  a winning spin will pay out from the hopper when you press the print ticket button.  i know leave in mains and ticket printers can be a problem, so i did a clear and put the orig mains back. with the orig mains, it doesnt work at all. red light on mpu blinks.  put the leave in back, and work except the acceptor. attached is a pic of the mains. hand written, and i have no idea what it means. could it be it needs the correct mains for the bill unit to work, or is it something else altogether. thanks

Check the DIP switch settings for the type of bill acceptor you have, if you change a switch you need to do another clear before the switch settings (any switch settings) will be accepted by the computer.

dips are correct.  i  found a set of main in a draw, i'l give them a go

tried different mains, same result.  accepter cycles, but doesnt go green.  do ballys have a cash box door switch ? i dont see one.

If it's not already bypassed, yes it has a cashbox door switch, it's not really visible, it's in the BV frame.
