IGT Jokers/Deuces B-1067C 7/90 Credit Issue
« on: January 07, 2025, 12:28:55 pm »
I have a double double poker machine and the info on the nameplate on the case is in the subject line above. My problem is that all wins drop into the coin tray. They will not add any credits to the credit meter. Does anybody have any idea. Let me add I am a novice when it comes to slot machines. Any help will be appreciated.

First off everyone is going to ask for a picture of the machine. Those numbers on the side plate are pretty much useless.
Second try hitting the cash/credit button and see if it lights up. If not it may just be a bad bulb. Hit it once and play some hands to see if it gives credits

Open the door and press the service button until you land on the screen that says "SELECT CREDIT TYPE" the use (turn) the Jackpot Reset Key until it says "CREDIT"  The attached screen grab is from MAME to give you an example of what it should look like.  From there you just close the door and let the game restart.

Good step by step instructions to set credit.
Will that prevent the coin mech from rejecting coins? What is the alternative to “credit”?

That just has your wins go to credits instead of cashing out each time.  There's also a "Player Initiated" credit and the normal pay out.  The coin reject is based on the coin comparator and is completely different hardware function that cannot be controlled by software settings.

Right, so I think Chill654 (typo corrected) needs some advice on checking the coin comparitor.
Im not the best at this but I will give it a shot.

1. A picture of the coin comparitor/mech will help us
2. Does the coin comparitor have a sample coin in it? Is it the correct sample?
3. There is a potientiometer with a +/-…turn that all the way to - to desensitize the comparitor. It basically says ignore the variance. You can move this back towards + later to prevent pennies or dimes from getting in.

If #3 doesn’t work and you have a sample coin,  there are some lights on the comparitor. Here is where Im not very helpful. Those lights tell you if its properly communicating and powered up. Let us know, and please post pictures.
