Bally 809b no winner payout

Innitally was adjusting blades to fix 1st coin reset. Mission accomplished. After reinstalling wheel mechanism machine will not give any payouts. Machine had perfect payouts before I fixed 1st coin reset. Trying to figure out what I must have accidentally done to make machine not give payouts . Help ! Any suggestions

Check pins on back of reel mech and in side cabinet, you may have bent one !

Were the actual reels removed from the chassis?
A bent pin or pushed back socket that receives the pin will cause problems.
Try moving the reels chassis in all directions about 1/8 inch.
In some cases in the process of removing and replacing chassis contacts get bumped
or wires get broken.

Also, try moving the hopper chassis in all directions about 1/8 inch.
Doing this after a payout lines up is a low tech way of checking socket connectivity.

Pro-tip, the reels can be set for a payout by stopping the clock fan, setting and holding the reels on a payout. Then release the fan to allow the machine cycle to complete.

if it's not plug connection issues and it really is an 809B (vs it just has a serial plate that says that ... a pic of the front of the machine helps), then there's two switches in the payout circuit thru the reels that would kill powering the payout relay on a win:

coin relay : switch with brown (60-1) and brown/yellow (63-3) wire on blades.  Switch should be closed when coin relay reset (after spin, before playing coin)

handle release relay : switch with 63-3 and gray (90) wires.  Closed when handle is locked.

either of those two switches being open causes no pay but the handle will release on first coin played and you can spin.

if there's nothing obviously wrong, then it's probably voltmeter and/or jumper wire time to find the issue quickly.  Do you have either?

I assume from how ya phrased the problem you went around the entire machine checking/adjusting/cleaning switches rather than just looking at switches in the problem circuit?  If so, nothing wrong with that, ya just have an oops someplace - usually lack of switch blade overtravel so it looks like a switch is closed but it isn't.

it's also possible the payout counter isn't resetting so you'd only get a pay that is higher than any previous pay, and eventually no pay at all.

I am actually having the same issue with my Bally 809 at this present time after cleaning my reel mechanism.  My machine had been sitting for years, and I just took apart, cleaned and relubed the entire reel mechancism.  Machine now operates perfectly except I currently have no payouts on any winning ombination.  My machine is a ghost reel which has multiple bars and 7's only.  I am going to go through the reel assembly with a meter later this week, and if I get it resolved, I will post my findings for my resolve to assist you.  If not, and I am still pulling out my hair, I will start a new topic as my 809 has no serial tag and I want to identify it properly first so I can get the proper schematic.  Stay tuned!

This probably will not help you but I promised to report back as I was having the same issue with my 809 after a complete refurbishing of my reel mech.  I went back to it this evening after a 48 hour rest period frome getting no payouts and now the machine is paying all payouts.  The only thing that I can think of is that, in my case, I sprayed Puretronics Contact Cleaner and Lubricant into the male beau plugs on the reel mech and that solution had not completely dried prior to me attempting to operate the machine.  Don't much understand it but the machine played perfectly all evening without any issue.  Just in case you doused the beau plugs, that might be your answer.
