New to me Bally Poker Model V2363-8 NO KEY

Picked up a working (sort of) Bally V2363-8 machine.  Screen does come up and says Low Battery.

Bad news was it came with no key.  Short of drilling it out, are there any alternatives?

Papers that came with show it's likely a Series V "2000" Series.

Hoping most machines of this era used the same key or maybe only a few to choose from. Don't see any numbers on the lock.

Post a photo of the lock. Both tubular and regular types are quite "pickable." But you'll need pic sets.  :yes:
Or... drill it! Locks are cheap.

I've never drilled a lock before...

Hopefully easier than one of my machines previous owners results.......

Maybe get this set? It's cheaper on eBay than Amazon. And you'd have it for future use. There's no absolute guarantee they will work but mine did after a little fiddling.

Thanks, got one on order.  Worth a try at that price!  Might even be cheaper than replacing broken drill bits. :lol:

Just to follow up, I wasn't able to pick the lock so I took it to a locksmith.
Turns out the lock was messed up & they had to drill it out.

I tried practicing with the lock-picking tool on another lock that I did have a key for.  Messed around for an hour or better and never did get it open.  :banghead:
Looked like a nice gadget, but I just don't have a knack for using it.

Coincidentally I just bought one of those picking sets and successfully picked an LAI barrel lock. They are known to be tough.
Here is a trick I learned from a YouTube video. Sometimes the latching pin doesn’t push in correctly. All the others will impression but the latch pin will push its respective post out a little too far.
Do the normal procedure of pressing the lock with the impression tool until you see that the pins have moved into position.
Then do a semi-manual process of going through each pin post and gently press on them one at a time. One of them will click, that is your latching pin.
At that point the impression tool should rotate.
Now you can remove that lock and have a key made from your impression or just buy another lock.

Last time I asked a locksmith about picking and making a key it was $40 for impression and two keys.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.  I was having issues with impressioning the pins.  Several of them were way off from what the actual key looked like. Almost always were too too deep. I tried tighter rubber bands around the barrell and even a small hose clamp to snug them up.
