WS Blade BB3 rebooting issue

Hi all, new member and first post. Hoping to gain as much knowledge from you all as I can to assist with troubleshooting a challenging & problematic issue successfully.  I am a long time pinball machine collector, but brand new to slots.  I recently purchased two Blade machines, after a few minor tweaks, one works perfectly, but the 2nd one has a challenging issue where after it has been powered on for 24hrs or longer, its starts rebooting itself once every few hours.  I am working with the folks I bought it from and they are great with support and assisting with chasing this down. But I anticipate reading a little, that this may prove to be very challenging.

If anyone can assist with having already resolved a similar issue or guidance on how to navigate troubleshooting or things to check, etc It would be greatly appreciated!

So far we have confirmed that it is not the facility power source, we replaced the printer for unrelated issue, so its not that. We also replaced the power supply with no affect, so its not that.  But so many more things to chase!!

It is virtually an instantaneous event when it occurs, no delay at all in rebooting, you hear a "pop" then look at the machine and see it rebooting. Otherwise opperates perfectly, but for some reason does this every few hours.  thanks in advance!!  Mike

I would check for if any cooling fans are out on both the cabinet and the CPU, machine may be overheating.

I doubt this is your issue but I had the roughly the same thing happening. Long story short it was a bad connection at the Molex for the power to the CPU 3.2 I got lucky and found it. I was simply looking at the connector and realized a wire was loose. My issue is that it could be 10 minutes, 1 hours, two hours ect. It was very random. I had a new connector made over 2 years ago now with no reboots. What a relief. Hope you get it worked out. It can be very frustrating

I’m experiencing the same issue with one of my Blade machines. Like you, I’ve already replaced the power supply, but the problem persists. It’s good to know I’m not the only one dealing with this. I’m still trying to troubleshoot the issue as well, but it’s been a bit of a challenge. If I come across any helpful tips or solutions, I’ll be sure to share them!

Thanks for the great suggestion about the Molex connector! I’ll definitely check the cables and connectors as you mentioned. It sounds like a good lead, and I appreciate you sharing your experience. I’ll give it a try and see if it helps resolve the issue. Fingers crossed!

When I was checking the cables, I found a cable bundle which was not insulated or protected, after I protected it with insulating tape, the problem no longer existed. It is possible that this came into contact with the housing from time to time and that is why it kept restarting. The main thing is that it no longer reboots. thank you all for the helpful tips!
