Help with error

Hello,

I just purchased a Bally Alpha slot machine. The machine boots up but gives a call attendant error with the reels spinning non stop.

How do I go about fixing this?

Since you’re running AVOS00000317-02 and an 807 bios you will need AVOCLEAR312.

If I turn the key it reboots and goes to the same screen. Thanks I will purchase the clear chip. Do I need anything else?

Get fresh batteries too just incase. There are 2 coin cell batteries on the CPU and 1 on the backplane.

Hello,

I finally got the clear chip. I need help with selecting the correct option for “button panel”.
I selected 11 but the buttons do not light up correctly and they don’t all function.
What should i set it to? Thanks!

You have a 14 button panel deck. Some of the buttons are removed due to how that game was originally configured in a casino or wherever it first stood it’s life.

If you mean the numbers? It is meant to help people doing conversions where the reels are placed with the matching amount of reels in said game, 3 reel, 5 reel, etc.

If you mean the little metal pieces, it is apart of the assembly and could be used for adjustment if needed but I never really seen that.

The metal spurs spin freely and compress slightly against the reels. But they spin freely if you spin the reels. I thought it were to secure the reels but it does not do that nor does it lock in the whole reel assembly to the mounting bracket. I’m stumped.
