Game King Board not booting

Hello everyone.  My game king with a 044 board was acting up. It would freeze at times and reboot randomly.  I pulled the board and put it into another machine, and the problem followed it. I also tested my mpu fan (small fan screwed into right side of mpu cage), and found the fan not working. I replaced the fan, but the damage may already be done. I can key chip the board using key 28. Works perfect. When I swap the chips back, it boots up then freezes..and I noticed one of the lights on the front goes out.  My other machine has the same board, and I was able to swap the game, boot chip, etc. But the board itself may be a victim of heat damage. At one time it said "processor failure"..but that only flashed briefly. Now it boots up normally, but freezes just before the game should come on, and the light on the front goes out. Time for a new board?

Did it work after that?  Did you remove U24 as well?
