Well, the message says touch config is wrong so maybe its a jumper harness issue

Thats what I was thinking too. I purchased a harness from Fireball Jackpot a couple of months ago. I'm thinking I requested the wrong Harness, or I'm confused as to their use. Thanks for all the help up to this point!

I have yet to work on Argos stuff so if I am wrong, I am sure idesign will correct me. I dont have Argos knowledge but been following the Argos platoform and have Alpha 2 knowledge. I think your Topper may be causing the initial setup to cause these errors. I know you said you RAM cleared the machine, but would Factory Restoring everything WITHOUT THE TOPPER PLUGGED IN work in this case? Maybe your initial setup collect data on the cabinet and RAM CLEARS dont clear the cabinet setup but the just the game data?

Well, Argos clears everything when installing anything or doing a NVRAM clear. I never had the smaller topper so I can't confirm if those would cause anything. Most of the games play without a topper, some do want a topper to display progressives though. The game he is playing does not need a topper.

The jumper harness may be the issue, if it's damaged or not connected correctly. If he got the wrong harness that may be the problem. As I recall Dan was selling a V32 harness too, but was never confirmed it worked. He should make sure the connections on the harness are still good and the end of the harness, where all the wires come together are connected to an 8 pin ground connector on the backplane or ground depending on the configuration of the backplane. Also, check the wiring to the existing harness it connects to to make sure nothing is pulled loose.

Lastly, cabinet setup is dictated by the jumpers on the backplane, The OS reads the cabinet settings to define what the cabinet is.

Is there any info to show me the correct pinout on the backplane? I could check to see if the Harness matches the pins on the harness versus the backplane. Thanks

I had the same error first time running huff n more puff on a 22/22 with the small topper. I disconnected the topper DP and it booted up fine. Since it is throwing you this other error only with the topper disconnected, if you keep the topper connected can you play the game when you insert credits?

I never got to that point. I installed huff and puff then went to setup the machine and the game stretched across all the screens.

That was it, unplugging the topper displayport from the graphics card.

I was successful in loading ArgOS on my Bally Alpha 2 V22/22. It came down to the VGA to DV adapters need to be able to handle a 1080p signal for a higher resolution. That cleared up the stretch and the touch CFG error. Just for the next guy taking on the challenge.

So now it’s working and the 15 inch topper is properly showing the huff n more puff logo? That’s interesting, please share a pic and show us which dp -> vga adapter you used.

Theres’s a mmlap that you need the blue dongle for and need to set it up by switching to the separate menu by clicking on egm mode in the service screen and then there is a sap that you have to start right in the machine configuration itself.
