Can someone help me(Rome and Egypt slot machine)

I apologize if I’m doing this wrong I’m new to the site and slot
Machines. I do have background in repairing electronics and I’m pretty good when it comes to computers. I’m no programmer or a professional IT person but I’m not dumb with computers. Recently I bought a couple slot machines for my house. One of them being Rome and Egypt by WMS. With it I have the “clear” card as well to fix errors or reset the unit in general. Long story short I plugged in the unit and the guy says it worked fine. When it loads I get a black and white screen that loads to 100% then it says “partition DSS signature validation failed , I/O error”. Did I get screwed? Is this machine just trash? Slots seems to be a lot more complicated than I thought. I own some old school ones with dip switches and I’m orettt good with those. This is the first new school one and I’m just lost. Even if someone has advise on a website that has all the info to teach me about these machines I’d be very grateful. If I have to pay someone to spend sometime with me helping me out I’d be more than willing. I turned the machine off and tried that chip that is suppose to “fix” error . I assume it’s a programming card of some sort and when I put that in the WMS logo comes up and then another black and white screen shows up that says “uncompressing Linux, unable to locate

"partition DSS signature validation failed" Means your OS Card is bad. Game cards are fine but the OS went kaplunk! If you don't mind, tell us what OS card you have. EX: "OS Family H9.27"

Yes I can do that, sorry for the late reply. When I get back there I will take a picture of what I have. Thanks for the info. It’s weird when I bought the machine the guy sent me a video of it playing. I drove it home and now the game is corrupt. I guess bad luck? Or do you think it could be something else?
