Yet another issue… printer this time.

Excuse me for my continued needed help regarding this.

Trying to get a TITO installed here on a BB2 and every time I set the printer I get an error “Printer Off Line”

It communicates and everything else and I don’t know what I set wrong. Printer is a Futurelogic Gen2 RS232 and even when set to Netplex I got this error..

Have you ever seen this same printer work in this cabinet, BEFORE you tried to set-up this cabinet with TITO? 

If not, set the printer up first, test it with real money, THEN change the settings for TITO.

By test it with real money, do you mean insert cash and play for a bit THEN try to set up printer?

Sort of, a better test is to insert A $20 bill, play one game, then hit the cashout button with whatever's left.
Now you KNOW the ticket printer works.
At that point would be THE BEST TIME to follow printed TITO setup instructions.

Figured out the issue. Printer itself was a dud despite it communicating just fine even with TITO configured.

The wonderful world of keeping aging and well abused former gaming machines alive.  You may want to check the switches on the printer. If it had worked before and no switches moved then check the cables. These units are aged and I have several here in good old Arizona that have dry rotted cables that becomes exposed to ground. Just thoughts. Otherwise maybe the printer just decided to die. WMS machines are 20-30 years old now and no matter how well built they were abused in a casino and a tech who just had to get it going again! lol.  They are loved.
