Igt PE Plus screen off center

I have an IGT PE Plus bar top game that has the left side of the screen out of view. The potentiometer will move the image to the left, but the farthest right it will go will only show half of the first card. My son thinks it is likely a bad capacitor, and I think it could be the pot that has possibly slipped to not allow it to move the image enough. I think your son is right..... given the age the monitor could use a cap kit (replace all the capacitors).

Is this game new to you or have you had it and this problem suddenly started?
If this is a recent change, capacitors certainly need to be done so you can rule it out.
The alignment pot is not likely. Im not saying its impossible but not likely.
Cap kits are around $15, I sell them on ebay so I know. I work on 1492s a lot, I just walked in from the garage from working on one.

If you prefer to address the most likely cap culprits I can give you the list but there aren’t that many caps on a 1492 to just buy the entire kit.

Thanks guys for your opinions. My son is in College for Electrical engineering, so he definately knows more than I on the subject. It wasn't like this when I first got the machine but happened over time. Chris do you have a link to your cap kit? I would like to purchase it.

Oh wait. I made an assumption that your PE has a Ceronix 1492. If you send a picture with the door open I should be able to tell.
Its possible it has a different monitor in it. You need to pull the monitor out, just grab it on the sides, there are handle holes, pull towards you, the entire frame will slide out.
There might be a 15 pin wire connector underneath the monitor, undo that first. A 1492 will likely have a connector on the back that just separates when you slide the frame out.
In rare instances there might be a screw from underneath keeping the frame from sliding out.

The only ones I have seen is where people have hacked in a video inverter for a LCD mod.

Especially a bartop, but since RGB1401s are compatible I wanted to be sure. Lol

I'm also looking for the bill acceptor and associated parts to make this machine accept bills. If anybody has one this stuff for sale, please let me know.

That usually entails changing at least one piece of glass and engineering a mounting system, unless your game has mount that isn’t in use. In which case we would need to see pictures. Bartop might have a covered cut out ready to use.
I believe those came with DBV-145 originally and I know from personal experience that DBV-200 will work. You will need a power supply which is usually a black box with two wires/connectors. Pic attached of mine. I wont be able to look at mine until this weekend but I believe the connector connects to another wire that clips into the MB. You will also need the data cable.
You might want to place a WTB with pictures of your machine exterior and with the door open. Someone might have a mount that was pulled from a decommissioned machine. You are looking at 35+ year old equipment so procuring the exact correct parts can be challenging.
