Bally Alpha - Model S9 ; Need whole card cage assy!

Hello All,

I have a customer that is missing the whole card cage assy. Please see pics below:

This is the way I found it. I guess someone had worked on it and took the card cage. It is a Vegas Hits machine. The game and OS Compact Flash cards are there. OS is AVOS00000336-09.

You can see in the pics that the dual screen board is there, that is a good thing. I found the same part on SKY GAMING, see below:

Do you think this card cage will work? I can throw the dual board in and pop that sucker in the machine:

I know if I get this card cage I will need to get the bios chip AVBBP26SIMPU-07

Also, I noticed there is only one power supply installed on the lower left side. The upper one has a plug in it.
She has two other machines that work perfectly and they both have two power supplies installed.

Please give me your thoughts. I just want to get this machine back up and running. I love a challenge!

Yes, Vegas Hits will only work with the 1GHZ CPU and you may need to upgrade the memory to 2GB along with the video card pictured in your google drive images. When you do get the MPU you may need to do a clear before the game can load and you can configure it.

Typically the 5v 12v Power Supply is for Reel Games to power the 7-Segment LEDs, Reels, etc. Factory V32 cabinets or machines like yours had the jumper since the extra voltage wasn’t needed. But if you wish to convert to reels you will need that power supply

Hi all, looking for help again.

I installed the new card cage with the dual card installed in the PCI slot.
NO graphics out put on anything, not even the build in graphics card on MPU.

I took out the dual card and just tried the built in one on MPU. It will display, but will not complete boot due to Nvidia card missing.
Using bios AVBBP26SIMPU-07. OS=AVOS00000336-09    Game is VEGAS HITS

I think I need to go into setup with a keyboard? Is there a certain key I have to hit to enter?

I would keep troubleshooting simple. Try cleaning the pin connectors on the dual video card.

If that doesn’t work, try showing a picture of the video card you’re using.

This machine is not a S9000 if it has dual video.  Pics show it's a v20/32.  Which game card do you have?  Did they make this game in a stepper version?

Vegas Hits I believe never has had a reels release at all

I have the card cage out of machine, no software CF in cage. I can get a display on power on if the dual board is NOT installed and monitor is attached to main video on new card cage.
No video whats so ever if dual card is installed  (on any display port).

Do I need to config dual pci card on MPU?

Remove the VIDEO CARD from the MPU. Plug the VGA cable directly into the VGA port on the MPU. If you see the BIOS post screen, your good. If you add the video card back in and get NO PICTURE, than the video card is bad.

Vegas Hits DOES NOT REQUIRE 2GB memory. (I think Vegas Hits Road Trip does- cant remember)

All V20/32 and V32 games on Alpha 1 REQUIRE A WORKING VIDEO CARD. So removing the video card from MPU is to test if the video card is good or not.
