Ok i will check it today when i get home. I did notice yesterday when i have cherry switch out and insert coin flashing when i put a quarter in the led light at optic when coin passes through flashes as coin goes past.

You have 13vdc to the backplane from the power supply but it appears as though you're not getting 12v to the CPU board or the coin comparitor. If the machine has been laid on it's back and a coin got behind the backplane board it may have shorted out a 12v trace. The red & black wires on CN-12 go directly to the CPU board and the coin comparitor. You will need to ring those two wires out and find out where the break is. The red wire on CN-12 pin1 goes to pin 6 on the comparitor and the black wire from CN-12 pin 4 to pin 1 on the comparitor. See photo below for 12vdc to the CPU board edge connector.

The photo eye below the coin divertor is not used. It counts coins when the hopper is full and the divertor directs coins to the overflow chute.

That coin divertor should be in the closed position when the machine is ready to accept coins.

Check the door and backplane plugs making sure they are all seated well in their sockets.

I have another machine. I will pull board to see if there is a short or i can take back plane out of other machine. What do you think. Other machine has no cc mpu.

First I'd ring out the wires. If you find one open then pull the boards for the machine you're working on and look for the open circuit.

So i tested pin 1 and 4 on cn 12 and i get continuty to coin comparator.

If your getting continuity you must be getting 12v to the comparitor.

CN-17 is open.

Please post a photo of the entire backplane under the CPU board tray.

I checked pin 1 and 6 on cc and im getting 147.2.

Other than some corrosion on the CPU tray and power distribution box things look normal. I'd remove that harness to CN-17 and set it aside.

Looks like you're going to have to bite the bullet and pull the backplane board. Look for shorts and open circuits. If the board has signs of shorting out I'd swap it with the one out of the spare machine.

While you have the CPU board pulled out check all the pins on the edge connectors...check for bent, broken off or corroded pins.

Is the back plane difficult to get out? I have machine on the floor. I might need to have someone help me to get it on my work bench. I checked the pins on the mpu last time i had it out and did not see any bent pins or corosion. I will get working on it and keep you posted.

I pulled the back plane board from donor machine to see what it involved. It looks good. Will pull one in good machine. Should i swap and turn it on or check traces before I install.

The spare appears to be in excellent condition. I think you're good to go.

When you install the spare board leave the mounting screws a little loose. Carefully plug the CPU board into the backplane making sure the edge connectors are mating without forcing them together and then snug the screws down. Check to make sure the CPU board is relatively easy the take out of the tray and plug back in. Alignment's critical, we do not want to bend the pins.

Will do on fastening the board back down. Do you think the back plane is the issue with the high voltage accross red and green an cc?

Unless someone crossed some wires somewhere I highly doubt it. The grey and white wires are 110vac for the fluorescents.

I turned on machine yesterday and i believe power supply died on me. Only thing that happens when i turn on is the flourescent lights and bill validator cycles. No more lights on mpu. Solinoid at coin door does not engage and no display.

Are you measuring any voltages at the CPU test points?

Check your fuses on the power supply and the power switch box.

There was a problem with the 12vdc (the open ground on the CPU board) and it's possible the power supply finally gave up. Did your spare machine have a power supply? They're a quick swap. There is also small filter capacitor (C31) that fails on the power supply board and will prevent it from starting up.
