I had a AHA MOMENT about the rejector armature.  :duh:

Well, back to the drawing board.

you mean what is it, why it's there, what it's for or just want to see a picture of one?

like the MBB coin relay switch, bally got rid of it on models 808 and after.

Wolftalk I need a bit of help here unrelated to the above post.

The 150 payout wire is 54. I have the hopper plug, the reel plug calling for the 54 wire, however the reels wire is where I am stumped as to where it ends at.

I know that I posted the reel wipers however I don't recall talking about them. They are brand new so I had to cut between the wipers fingers, adjust the wiper fingers, and they are on track, so that is completed.

you're trying to make a jessie's special from the riverside casino?  What reel tapes do you have?

do you have a service switch that doesn't work, or don't have one at all?

It didn't come with a service switch, all I have are door switches.
I am going to have the reel tapes made using the reel tapes diagram.
And what about the 54 wire?

I have the rewiring done throughout the machine, using the correct wiring colors, I am checking and rechecking the wire routing and it looks promising. Today I plugged it in and I am doing a system check, 110V works, 50V works, next one to check out is the 6V.

:nerd:
From a Frankenstein monster, I disassembled the machine.
Now I am patterning closely as possible after the 742a-447, with your information:
model                     : 742A-447
description               : Jessies Special 1000 to 1 (25 stop)
customer                  : Riverside Hotel
reel tapes                : m-225-[133, 134, 135]
reel contact plate wiring : w-1041-[2285, 2256, 2287]
schematic                 : w-1046-1408
payout counter            : w-923-65
reel glass                : g-349-418
bottom glass              : g-350-10a-289
top sign             : m-1344-2a-320
index reels               : p-584-[64,65,66]

This is how I am working the project (in sections).
The cabinet restoration.
The, door restoration.
The cabinet wiring.
The door wiring.
The reels wiring,
The hopper wiring.
Reel restoration.
Hopper restoration.
The tapes and index reels will be fabricated using the drawings if they can't be sourced.
I am locating some of the parts on line, a lot from my parts cabinet, and some sheet metal will need to be fabricated.

ok ... why a 742A-447 tho?

from my incomplete information, the index discs in that game are unique to that machine made for the riverside hotel.  The odds of finding those discs are tiny, so you'd have to make them.

all you really need is index discs that match reel tapes - or have too many slots in the discs and you can map multiple slot depths to the same tape symbol - and glass that has the right symbols.  Getting a payout disc that supports the pays is usually a lot easier if the payouts aren't something very unusual.

I'm working on it, I have a plan, and I have friends in a machine shop with lasers to cut stainless steel.  :rotfl:

the 150 payout wire is 54. I have the hopper plug, the reel plug calling for the 54 wire, however the reels wire is where I am stumped as to where it ends at in the reels?

looks like the 742A-447 had and unknown amount jackpot pay for the R-R-R (riverside symbols) win.  On the schematic is a "jackpot cancel relay" which bally would later call the "jackpot lockup relay".

if you got R-R-R  (1/15625 chance), the cancel relay powers, the bell rings and the game pays 100 coins.  A switch opens in the handle release relay so the game is effectively locked up waiting for an attendant to hand pay the rest of the win and release the handle so the reels can be spun to clear the R-R-R win.

the 742A-447 wouldn't use a 150 or 200 pay trace on a payout counter disc, so there is no wire 54 going to the reels.

the payout counter diagram in post #61 isn't the one used on the -447, so the wiring isn't quite the same.

if you wanted your machine to pay 150 for the R-R-R win, you'd get rid of the cancel relay and all its switches and wire 15-2 shown on the schem would be wire 54 to the 150 trace on a payout disc.

anyway, you have some glass and a top sign for the jackpot payouts ... or know what your complete pay table is going to be?   I recently made paperwork for a 742A-162 - it would be pretty easy to modify that paperwork to produce the info for the "walz special" :-)

note if you are going to make reel tapes, index discs and decide the payout for the top win (make a top sign or belly glass), you can make the game with any payback percentage you want or any rules you want.  Scatter pay like money honey symbols where 3 visible ones paid instead of just 3 on the payline, more cherries on reel 1 for more frequent payouts, etc. all possible).

you could even do something like the mills bonus mechanical slot where letters were superimposed on symbols on reel 1 and when you spelled out the word BONUS in order (so it took at least 5 spins), the game paid 18.  Doing something like that tho would need more pieces like a stepper or relay bank that wouldn't fit in your cabinet.

And do you have any information about the push button attendant switch,  :Scratch-Head: all of mine are door switches, I am trying to keep the correct switch for the slot machine.

I looked but don't have one.  Doesn't your 1114 have one you can look at to get manufacturer/part number or dimensions?  It's just a latching/push-on_push-off switch used to turn on a tower light.  Some casinos used tower lights, some didn't.  If you aren't installing a tower light, ya don't need/want the service switch.

the 150 payout wire is 54.

Thanks
Everything is 742a-447 specifications. I purchased the correct contact plate, and using the correct wiring throughout the machine. Basically, a gutted everything, and started over, using the correct wiring codes. So basically it is a clone of the 742a-447.
The tower light is installed, and working.
No switch, I will check my other slot machines to find the correct number.
The reel tapes are going to be the same pattern.

I still need to figure out what screws went into the tower.  :duh:

that tower is documented in the 400 manual ... #4x1/4" lg phillips truss head sheet metal - bright

I'm kinda wondering what the plan is for the reel tapes, jackpot pay symbol/pay amount and if/where that payout will be shown (top sign or belly glass?).

I dunno how much the 447 paid for R-R-R except it was more than 200 coins - otherwise the cancel/lockup relay wouldn't be needed.
