This Is my first time reaching out in this forum for my Wurlitzer 2810 jukebox. I’m a newbie to troubleshooting and any and all help would be appreciated. My Wurlitzer has worked great for years since I bought 4 years ago. I recently used it about 4 days ago and noticed that when powering up the lights would flicker and I found the cord was deteriorating and when I wiggled it the lights would stay solid. Yesterday I went to go change the cord and instead of changing I decided to splice the damaged section. I’m pretty good with any wiring but was shocked to see that the cord on had a power (black) and common (white) and no ground. Either way I spliced the wires and the jukebox powered up fine and now I’m unable to select and any records. I have the Wurlitzer service manual for the 2800/2810 and went to the troubleshooting under “Selection Circuit”. Section 2. (Selector button fails to latch in) No Select light. The first/third corrective action was to check RY-1 relay coil in the junction box and clean and adjust the RY-1 relay contacts. I’ve been looking through the manual and there are no visual aids that break it down that far. I will need to take the junction box out and try and find this relay. Besides this relay what would be the next thing to check in the selector circuit.
