Hi. Need some help. Got a Bally TopHat 1093 EM and one day the hopper started to pay out and never stops. It started without a winning combination. Each time I start the machine the hopper started to pay out but it doesnt seem like the hoppet is counting the coins. How can I search for what is wrong? Where do I start. TiA

Picture for attention. Not my machine in the pic.

I have some pictures of a 1093 schematic, but if you know of a source for one, let me know.  I'm always looking for a source for paperwork for the games made for outside the usa like top hat.

for the hopper to turn on, the payout relay needs to power ... so first check is look at the payout relay and make sure neither of the two redundant switches with the white (50) and white/yellow (52) wires are stuck closed.

if those switches are open and there's no obvious wire short, next thing you want to know is if the payout relay is powering.  I don't know where it is on that machine, but if you can see it when the hopper is turned on, take a look.

if the payout relay is on the back of the hopper and is an open relay, you can fold up some paper and shove it between the coil top and the metal armature plate to prevent the armature from pulling down onto the coil ... if you do that, does the hopper stay off?

another test when the hopper motor is running is pull out the reel mech far enough to unplug the rear plugs ... hopper motor turn off?  If no, see if the large white ceramic resistor on the payout relay is shorting to something.

you can email highest possible resolution pictures/video to slotpics@cdyn.com and I'll make them accessible since size limits here are a problem.
