Hi all, should be a quick “Solved” post. I’ve been working on a Dino World pachinko slot machine where the 3rd reel stop button doesn’t work. After pulling everything apart I finally found a missing resistor. I’m use to color coded resistors but not this grey one with numbers. Can anyone tell me the correct resistor to purchase?  See photo, 102J   27   1W. Thank you in advance.

How did a 1k protection resistor blow or cook?
Looks like it is on an LED driver board. Did you find any other component problems, open traces, shorts?

I was wondering about that too. I think he means someone removed it for some reason. May not have been fried?

I found that the resistor was knocked out or ripped somehow. I bought the unit for $30 knowing the 3rd reel button didn’t work and I thought it was an easy fix but turned out I pulled out a bunch of stuff and missed the obvious. When I 1st looked at it, I thought the resistor or whatever part was soldered on the back side and I was just looking at the ends. Realized later that that resistor was just missing. I’m pretty sure that is my problem but I can’t assume.
