I just finished creating a schematic and reel wiper wiring for a 742A-162, so I had the advantage of having a reel mech in front of me and could verify with the wire colors and a meter.

I have used the files extensively in my slot machine madness. It's awesome, I have printed off a lot of manuals for my projects. EBay used to have Bally EM manuals cheap, but now they have since tripled in price. I like your work on the 742A-162.

all the pics I took of the -162 are in the pics/ folder and are too big to post here.  I'm a cranky old git and am not really willing to downsize/downscale pics for posting here unless I said I would or really need to.
 
there's pics of the reels ... what specifically are you wanting to see?

make-before-break is just an SPDT switch - single pole, double throw ... meaning one long pole blade with a short blade on each side.  The pole blade is connecting to one of the other blades when the pole is not moving.

the MBB special feature is just how the blades are adjusted.  When the pole blade moves to change the switch state, it should not disconnect from the closed contact until it connects to the open contact.  In effect, all three blades are connected together while the switch is changing state. 

normally a SPDT (make-break) switch disconnects the closed contacts before mashing together the open contacts ... tho in practice it almost always doesn't matter if all three blades are connected together briefly as the switch changes state.

Great, I will work on it. I print the answers on all of your responses. File them with each slot machine. It's a great system of reference.
