I have not seen a single lick of info on this particular machine. I have come here for some help! I am new.
It is an IGT Fortune II in a smaller chassis and is a video slot machine, missing the main board and coin hopper. It's called Super Slots. Came with a few tokens that match it. Also, it says for promotional use only? No clue, I'm a bit of a noobie anyway but I'm learning quickly. It says it is model 2138 and the serial is 139555.

I need to get a main board for it but all the ones I can find have video poker on them it seems, and I cannot find any hoppers anywhere...
Anyone know where I can find some or have any? Also if anyone has any info on this particular machine as well please tell me!! :thank_you:

I'll add some photos later if anyone needs them.

We will need to see photos for sure. I have seen pictures of Amusement only machines but I don’t know any more about them. There are a few Fortune experts here but they will need to see pictures. If it is amusement only it probably won’t need a hopper.

Alright! Here are some photos, apologies if they are low quality, I had to lower the quality for them to fit the file size.
It does have a spot for a hopper though, and a slot for the coins to shoot back out. You can see in the photos.
I actually did find 2 tokens in the machine that match the name of the machine as well. I can send those over too.

Ah, and I did painfully move it into my 3rd floor room since the photos of it in my neighbors garage lol.

That is a IGT Fortune 2 video game but the top computer board is missing.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

It sure is Badbaud! The issue is that I literally cannot find a lick of info about this specific model. Or what it was actually used for, at this rate I may never know, mainly just because I am curious. Other than some matching tokens that's all the info I got. I'll attach some photos of those.

I would at least like to get a main board and see if I can get it playing again, even if I have to change out what game it is. Only ones I see on ebay are like 150$ with shipping (That include chips) :hissyfit:
If someone has a board let me know, may be interested!

Also all the lights do work and the CRT turns on, it does have some burn it but its not too terrible. Maybe I will replace it someday.
If I move the volume knob the speaker sometimes crackles a little, so I am assuming the sound board is also working, it just doesn't have any uhhh, input. Same with the CRT.
I am willing to bet someone used this as a donor machine as it is also missing the top jackpot light and the hopper like I mentioned.

Also I was cleaning it last night and I cut myself on the bit of broken glass, I'm okay though! Just a small cut. Speaking of, I kinda want to replace it too. If I do that I might replace belly glass too.
I feel like I should be calling the CDC with the amount of DIRT that was on that thing... its still not even 30% cleaned... :scratch-head_3:

Been a day or two but I just wanted to give a little update.

I was able to clean the exterior a little more and got some more of... whatever it was off. It was REALLY stubborn. I had to use wet steel wool BUT it actually is bringing the chrome back so that's good! I will need a LOT more elbow grease though...

I was looking into replacement glass for the top, I think its about 19.5" by 12.5"? I didn't take them out to get precise measurements yet. I want to try and convert the machine since the top glass has that huge crack in it, plus I'll probably never find the original software it used. I don't know what to make it into, but I am open to ideas. Maybe I'll settle for some poker though.

Also I thought I would share this. Look in the attachments. The machine or, at least the tube in it, has 2 different burn ins from 2 different games. Looks like the original 3 reel it came with and then some sort of
4 reel slots. Maybe it's cards, but I'm pretty sure I saw a cherry on those. I edited the image to make it appear more visible, you can even see the "Insert Token" text at the bottom. I also think I saw something about credits in the bottom left but you can't see it in the photo, its in the very corner. Maybe this will give us more of a clue what kind of use this saw. :Scratch-Head:

It clearly has had a very hard life.. just look at how dirty it was. I am surprised it even turns on to be honest, but I'm thankful, and hopeful slapping a game board in there will be all that it needs to function.

Anyway, shopping list. Let me know if anyone has any of this stuff, online stores are fine too like Ebay. :mail_2:
Also if you are local by some miracle and have this stuff... I am in south MA.

I need a jackpot light for the top! It's missing!
I need a Fortune II main board (MPU I think it's called? I am seeing Ebay ones "Untested" for approx $150 including the shipping cost)
I need a new front glass that measures approx. 19.5" wide by 12.5" tall. Maybe a matching bottom glass that measures 19.5" wide and 11.5" tall just so it looks nicer. (Don't worry, I am going to frame the bottom glass and keep it. I will try to do the same to the other one or at least save it just in case.)
I also need a coin hopper, preferably a 5 cent one.
I need a new jackpot and door key. I prefer to just replace the locks since I can get into the machine just fine.
Maybe a new front button panel so I have the option of installing buttons, also because its flaking and I don't like that.
A tetanus shot after I finish cleaning it.

Thanks all!

That's a first!  :arrowthruhead:

Alan (member Badbaud) may have some of those parts. Hopefully he'll chime in again or send him a PM to see what he has. You may be better off posting a separate ad in the NLG classifieds WTB. Selling there is for contributing members, but we allow regular members to request items. Just create a new topic in this catagory, send me a PM and I will move it to the classifieds.

I understand the desire to refurbish and recover an item, it’s basically what I do. However, it could take multiple shipments to acquire everything that machine needs.  You could be looking at far more than the machine is worth when completed.
You might be able to get an F2 board for less than $150 but not much less, especially if you want one that is known working.
I see complete Fortune machines for sale pretty consistently, it varies by area. Is there an emotional attachment to this machine? What Im saying is you might consider making this a parts machine. Just a thought.

Regarding the hopper, what kind of connector is in the machine?

Here is what I see in your future:
Board   $125 - $200 + $15 shipping
Hopper. $50 -$75 + $25 shipping
Glass $20 +15 shipping
Button panel….the sky is the limit! Rare and not likely better than yours.
Keys are nothing special, you just have to procure them at a local hardware store or online.

It is fun to fix up machines that need some TLC but missing parts is an expensive hobby!

I can look into doing that for sure, thank you!! I was considering making another post, I just want to get a plan together.

Chris

I have attached a photo of the hopper connector.

Honestly would not mind having this as a parts machine... if I didn't have to lug another one up my 3rd floor room. Plus, I don't have a lot of space for parts machines presently. However it would make a REALLY good parts machine. I just thought hey, looks like a cool project I can definitely make complete, it only costed 50 bucks anyhow. The parts it has right now make it worth it by itself, especially cause that tube works.

I kinda do have a *little* bit of attachment to this machine just because it's my first slot machine that isn't a pachislo or toy coin bank lol. However I can keep looking for other machines in the off chance I find one around me, but I snagged this one because its actually really hard to find used slot machines in south MA for some reason... Just a ton of pachislo machines. Occasionally an S2000 or something similar will show up but they go super quick around here. I even saw a FREE red white and blue S2000 at one point but it was too far away. I would have made the drive to get it if I could have :hissyfit:

Having said that I can look around some more and maybe I can find some good deals on the parts I would need to at least get something playable. I wish the glass didn't have a crack in it though.

Putting more than a couple hundred into a 50$ machine is crazy work, but it would be a fun money pit :24:
