Switch to Canadian funds?

Is it possible to switch my machine to accept Canadian funds? Machine is a G23 with a MEI SC Advance bill validator, It currently accepts usd.

Canadian Bills are physically a different size than US Bills.
I can't speak for MEI but with the DBV/WBA readers the transport is different, so even if you can get the heads flashed you might need more hardware.


In the newer US bills there are magnetic points used as security features, along with the start of colour detection.
Canadian bills use a number of different security features related to the polymer material. One is magnetic ink but instead of containing denomination like the US it changes colours when held to the light.
Heads which used to be universal are starting to diverge more.

I can only program WBA22/23 for Canada Poly bills. Maybe contact NLG member RB , Ronald Ball, or Joe Kell.  I do have WBA Canada heads available.

I think you all should head north, we can play Loonies (quarters adjusted for inflation) bring a few home as souvenirs.
I don't have any plans for mid-August we can have a NLG North BBQ at my place.
