Hi all-
New to this, so please, be kind.
I picked up a Bally Alpha 2 that had been sitting around, unplugged for a long time. I replaced all 3 batteries, thanks to other threads on this board.
Upon reboot, I'm getting the dreaded 3433 NVRAM driver mount failure fault.
I took it all apart, cleaned the contacts, and adjusted the contacts. No luck with that resolving the error.
The machine came with no cards in the CF slots.
The machine did come with various .vhd files on an external hard drive. I put what I believe to be an install .vhd (named 227207D 360 3 install.vhd) on a CF card and inserted that into the top CF slot in the machine. I put what I believe to be the OS .vhd (OS 336E.vdh) on a second CF card and inserted that in the bottom CF slot. Upon reboot, I'm still getting the NVRAM error.
I pulled the install card, replaced the install .vhd with what I believe to be a clean .vhd (RAM CLEAR Alpha 2.vhd) on that CF card, and reinserted that card into the top slot. Upon reboot, still no luck, the NVRAM error comes up before anything else.
What can I try next?
TIA
