Upgrading G20 non-dynamic buttons to dynamic buttons

Hey guys, I have a G20 with the standard, non dynamic buttons. I would like to, if possible, upgrade them to the dynamic edge lit buttons. From what i can tell, it *might* be possible to do? From what i understand, i need the 14 buttons, ribbon cable for the buttons, a board that the ribbon cable plugs in to, an hdmi cable, usb cable, the main blackfin controller, and power harness for the controller. Am i missing anything else, or get anything wrong?

Next, I'm also guessing there will be some software fun involved in doing this. Will i have to reset my cabinet, reinstall any operating systems, will i lose my games on my hard drive? Will they even work with the buttons?

If anyone has any good information, i would greatly appreciate it. I am fairly new to the slot machine scene but am eager to learn more, so apologies in advance if i'm unsure of things. Thank you in advance!

No you have all the information correct.  The games will automatically use the dynamic buttons.  The only other piece of information is that the blackfin controller needs to have the proper firmware installed for the type of buttons you get.  There are dynamic buttons, and dynamic edge it buttons.

Will I have to enable anything settings wise or reset my cabinet, or just plug and play?

It should auto-detect it.  I'm pretty sure when I upgraded my g20 from dynamic buttons to edgelit buttons, I didn't have to make any changes.  Although I did have the issue that the firmware on my blackfin needed to be upgraded to support the edgelit buttons.
